She plays a big role in Ragnarok so she'll obviously be in the film. My hope is for her to be Thora Birch.

Should the Kitchen Sink be in Infinity War?
This is somewhat similar to another thread, but I think it's worth having as a separate discussion if you can forgive my somewhat esoteric thread title.
Essentially, Infinity War seems to be the culmination of a lot of Marvel's connected universe up to this point. It's also two movies so it can be a bit longer. So the question is this, do you want every bit of the Marvel universe to make a cameo: The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Phil Coulson's Agents of SHIELD (i.e., everything but the kitchen sink) or should it be just more of an Avengers movie or should it be an Avengers plus Guardians movie? What are your thoughts about how many cameos you want to see?

I must say, I've been quite impressed with the interviews I have seen of her thus far.
I am very intrigued at the idea of a business mind leading the country. Her thoughts on education are quite nuanced as well. :o Could be an interesting candidate to look out for, especially as the republican field looks weak (well to me anyway).

Did Ravi Create The Zombie Virus?
Pretty much what the title says. We still have no idea who created the virus, and the idea that it came about accidentally as part of some drug or energy drink seems a tad absurd. I kept racking my brain trying to figure out who would want to intentionally make a virus like this, and for on reason or another, they all seemed too weak. The big bad this season, Blaine, is clearly lacking the technical know-how for something like this, and Max Rager wouldn't want to sabotage their own energy drinks.
Ultimately, there is one character on the show, with both the medical knowledge to create such a virus, and the incentive to do so. And that's Ravi, one of the most integral characters to the show, whose been there from the very beginning, yet we know next to nothing about him.

We know that he trusted Liv from the beginning and recognized her for what she was, despite the fact that we are given no reason to believe he's ever encountered zombies before. We know that he's intelligent enough to create a working cure for undeath. Most importantly, however, we know that he used to work for the CDC and that he was fired from the job because reasons.
So, taking these facts into account, did Ravi make the zombie virus?

My account hasn't been banned obviously, and I haven't made any posts recently, so I'm not sure why this has happened. Currently I can only access the forums on my phone. The 2016 Republican Candidates
So, that clown car is getting mighty full. The Republicans now have 8 declared candidates. That's a lot, considering there are several viable and likely candidates still waiting to jump in.
What I find most interesting, is that none of these current candidates are easily dismissible, at least if you're a Republican. Even the Fox News polls (which leave out Rand Paul), put most of them at 10%, or close.
So far we have: Dr. Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Rick Santorum.
Pretty much everyone agrees that Jeb Bush will throw his hat in the ring. Unless Scott Walker is planning to run for governor in Iowa, his frequent trips probably mean that he'll be running soon too.

So this thread is for we SHHrs to write our own reviews for games, our own criteria, written in any shape or form we desire. Besides discussions in designated threads, this review thread should also help to give us, each other perspective on games we've played. I'll start.

As I've stated before, this game was one of the best Ps3 games to me period, and one of the greatest games of the last generation. The tagline of this series is play, create, share, but I'll be focusing on the play. I never had the ambition of committing to creating levels in LBP, ever. But the game was a blast to play with. In an era of gaming where local multiplayer is on its way out unless you're on a nintendo console, LBP2 is loads of fun with friends, on the couch. It was a huge step up from the original in many ways but boy was its successor a letdown.
Anyways, the campaign levels were a blast to play through and the bonus levels were fun as well. Unfortunately however problems that plagued the mp portion was how the game was contingent on having all the players on the screen instead of doing splitscreen but I suppose that would complicate things.

+potential for lots of local multiplayer fun
+campaign is a joy to play through
+updated graphics works well with all the backward compatible levels from LBP1
+soundtrack. the soundtrack of LBP has always been its strong suit
+the miniature characters actually have dialogue now instead of always mumbling nonsense
+move support worked well with this game.
+all the dlc costumes you bought, as well as all the custom ones you made yourself, carry over to this sequel!
-lack of splitscreen hurts gameplay, although it could be for the best
-after playing through a good portion of it, it does start to feel old
-as fun as the game is, the story is a bit too nonsensical for me

The Last of Us
As this was a ND title, I was interested from it since it was announced, but gradually, as I learned more and more about it, the less and less interested I became. However, I recently got to play it in its entirety. And I'd say by about 99%, it lives up to the hype. It shares similarities with the Uncharted series, namely, the engine, and the fact that this is also a 3rd person shooter. Minus the fact that this game has a post apocalyptic setting with the survivor-horror story genre giving you a feeling of scarcity throughout, the actual shooting I would say is an improvement over the Uncharted series and it seems like Uc4 has taken several queues from it. And of course, this game is very story driven. And with a lot of ND's story driven games, this game would've benefited so much with a coop campaign mode. Sad to have it absent.
+Story is (while not absolutely flawless) very compelling.
+Graphics are quite amazing, especially on Ps3 (for its time)
+While I'm not entirely sure, the campaign lasted for a good 10 hours I think
+Gameplay & navigation through the campaign actually allowed for a lot of freedom and choices for how the player would like to have it executed. Although sometimes some routes are more obvious and easier to take than others.
+Multiplayer while still pvp is quite different, and encourages teamwork. But you can't exactly go in guns blazing.
-No splitscreen coop campaign. Games like this would be perfect for that.
-The story at certain times felt a bit weak to me. Just a few times, a few stutters for this masterpiece, at large.
-The friendly AI can get really annoying sometimes in the game. Getting in your way, stuff like that.

What is Nikita?
Nikita, a young woman who was rescued from death row by a secret government agency known as Division. Division faked Nikita's execution, giving her a chance to start a new life and serve her country. At least, that's what she is told. In reality, she is trained to be a spy and assassin. After three years in hiding, Nikita seeks retribution against her former bosses who deceived her and does everything she can to expose and destroy Division's covert operation, even as Division continues recruiting and training other young people to become cold-blooded killers.

The Dark Reign is over. Norman Osborn and his H.A.M.M.E.R. organization have been dealt their final defeat at the Siege of Asgard. The Dark Avengers have been apprehended, the Superhero Registration Act has been repealed, and Steve Rogers has taken back the mantle of Captain America to lead the heroes of Earth into a bright new day. This is the Heroic Age.
How to Play:
This game will start in the weeks after the Siege of Asgard. The heroes have had a chance to return home and revel in their victory, enjoy their new found freedom. Players can take any character that existed on Earth 616 prior to Marvel NOW. Please note this game does NOT share continuity with the old Heroes Vs Villains game. We start fresh from the end of Siege.
To apply for a character, fill out the application below. Applications will be reviewed by the GM and either Approved or Denied after 24 hours. If your application is Denied, fear not! You can re-write and revise your application based on the GM's and other players' feedback; however, if multiple people are vying for the same character and someone else gets it, you'll have to apply for a different character. All players are welcome, regardless of membership status or post-count
Rules:
1: You are allowed a maximum of two main characters. You also have free reign over the characters' supporting cast and rogues' gallery, provided that no other player is playing them. However, it is advised to keep sidekick characters and primary villains at least somewhat open as options for other players to take up.
2: You must post at least once every two weeks, preferably more, or your character will be up for grabs. Failure to post after 30 days will result in your character being removed from the roster.
3: PC's are not to be killed without permission. Nameless NPC's are fine, but PC's or important NPC's will require authorization. Don't do anything random, such as destroying the universe, either. Such behavior is frowned upon.
4: Several storylines can be going on at once, in order to interact with other players. If a player's character does not want to be involved in another's storyline, they do not have to. Likewise, please observe good etiquette and ask the other players' permission before jumping into a fight or interaction without their consent. Consultation and communication are the keys to a good PC-to-PC interaction.
5: You can travel anywhere on Earth or off-planet, provided it is within your character's means. Time-travel is forbidden, unless it is specifically required of your character choice.
6: You are your character, so act like them. Create or portray their mannerisms, powers, and ideals to how they have been established in the game. BE the character, don't just remote-control their powers, so to speak.
7: Respect the Gamemasters. If they make a request of you regarding the game, listen to them. Failure to adhere to GM, AGM, and Hype! Moderator requests will result in expulsion from the game.
8: Be creative, and do not be afraid to try new and exciting things with old concepts. This is a new continuity - the laws of the regular DC Universe are not set in stone.
9: All regular Hype rules apply.

Oculus, anyone ever watched this?
Watched it tonight on Sky TV it stars Karen Gillen and Katee Sackhoff, it's incredibly creepy and really well acted and does have some scary moments and clever set ups, it's well worth a watch I recommend it.
The Official X-Men 1 (2000) Appreciation Thread
I didn't see a thread for this (bring one up if you see it) so I thought this movie deserved a thread full of appreciative comments.
Who has a new love for this movie every time they see it? Whenever I see it on cable I have to watch it all. There's just something about it that I love.
I still loved that the film was told through Wolverine's POV. Sir Patrick and Ian's friendship and banter. Famke & James' chemistry and her scenes with Hugh were memorable. The younger mutants: Rogue, Iceman. It was a great introduction to the comics. I just thought everything about it was cool. I'm still liking it 15 years later.

Things to fix/change in the sequel
Without completely reinventing the wheel, this is how I'd fix the sequel.
1. Fix the costumes. Make the colors match and add an insignia. It can either be an F, a 4 or the symbol for unstable molecules. They can come in either blue, red, black or white. Thing should go with a tanktop and shorts.
2. Since you're obviously going with a sci-fi horror genre/tone, here's how I'd tackle Mole Man for the sequel. Tie it in with the idea of, "mole people" or homeless subway dwellers with a disgraced Harvey Elder living among them and then discovering an underground kingdom made up of terrifying human-eating creatures, among them Giganto. Think along the lines of the most recent Godzilla movie combined with The Descent.
3. More humor. Don't be afraid to explore dysfunction among the main cast.
4. Save Annihilus for after Franklin Richards is born. Don't bring him out until Part 3. Don't do Galactus unless you're doing a crossover with the X-Men. Annihilus should be part of the sequel's post-credits scene with the Annihilation Wave behind him.
5. As for where the main cast is. The FF should be incorporated as the Future Foundation with the Fantastic Four as their public face and numerous other scientists working for the Future Foundation under Reed and Sue's direction. Reed and Sue should be married by this point. Johnny should be the public face of the team. Ben should have to deal with not being seen as a freak but a celebrity who due to his appearance, can never blend into a crowd and has to be harassed by paparazzi. He needs to struggle with having to take the stairs because he's over the weight limit of most elevators. Make sure that the things which the other three take for granted are off limits to him so we love him but also feel sorry for him.
6. As for where Doom is. He should be ruler of Latveria by this point. Since Fox is going the Ultimate Doom route, he should be a techno-organic being. have him be the origin of the transmode virus to give the Phalanx and Earthbound origin. Make him be in the process of upgrading his body with all sorts of technology to the point where he resembles his appearance in Fantastic Four 350 by Walt Simonson, complete with glowing eyes. Make him this isolated, reclusive dictator who is so paranoid about being usurped that he's surrounded entirely by machines and only interacts with humans behind a computer screen. I'd also make a reference to the outrage over him being a blogger by having him be so isolated that he announces placing a trade embargo on another country via Reddit which would be part of a newscast in the opening shot of the film.
7. Doom should be aiding the FF because Mole Man is a threat to Latveria. Doom isn't willing to sacrifice the lives of his citizens and the FF don't want to see civilians die. They stay teamed up until they both kill Giganto and Doom wants to invade Subterrania while Reed wants to let the Mole People and Moloids alike live in peace. Doom's lust for vengeance and security for Latveria at all costs should draw a contrast between him and Reed's desire for peace and stability at all costs. Eventually Doom relents simply because he doesn't want the FF to jepoardize his rule of Latveria.
8. Bring in the Doombots. Have a scene where Giganto eats Doom and then coughs up the scrap metal only to have another Doom (the real one) introduce himself with a big boast about how he isn't so easily defeated.
9. By the time part 3 comes along, look at Fantastic Four 251-256, Fantastic Four 267, the Three storyline by Jonathan Hickman and Ultimate Fantastic Four 13-18. Have Sue be pregnant with a second child and Annihilus obsessed with Franklin Richards' latent powers. Sue should be out of action and in labor and Annihilus should kill of Johnny in the Negative Zone before the Annihilation Wave hits Earth. Doctor Doom replaces the Human Torch's slot on the Fantastic Four since the leaked script showed that Doom knows all about Annihilus and therefore knows how to combat him. Eventually Johnny is revealed to be alive at the end and defeats Annihilus but not until after we seen Annihilus enter the room with Sue as she's giving birth. We don't see what happens in that scene but we get a scream with a fade to black and we're informed that Sue's second child didn't make it. The Annihilation Wave is defeated by Reed opening a portal to suck them back into the Negative Zone. The post-credits scene should feature Doom cradling an infant implied to be Sue's child.
10. A fourth film should be an adaptation of Mark Waid's Unthinkable and the Claremont/Larrocca run with Doom once again presented as the big bad and Valeria Richards playing a role.

8. Bring in the Doombots. Have a scene where Giganto eats Doom and then coughs up the scrap metal only to have another Doom (the real one) introduce himself with a big boast about how he isn't so easily defeated.
9. By the time part 3 comes along, look at Fantastic Four 251-256, Fantastic Four 267, the Three storyline by Jonathan Hickman and Ultimate Fantastic Four 13-18. Have Sue be pregnant with a second child and Annihilus obsessed with Franklin Richards' latent powers. Sue should be out of action and in labor and Annihilus should kill of Johnny in the Negative Zone before the Annihilation Wave hits Earth. Doctor Doom replaces the Human Torch's slot on the Fantastic Four since the leaked script showed that Doom knows all about Annihilus and therefore knows how to combat him. Eventually Johnny is revealed to be alive at the end and defeats Annihilus but not until after we seen Annihilus enter the room with Sue as she's giving birth. We don't see what happens in that scene but we get a scream with a fade to black and we're informed that Sue's second child didn't make it. The Annihilation Wave is defeated by Reed opening a portal to suck them back into the Negative Zone. The post-credits scene should feature Doom cradling an infant implied to be Sue's child.
10. A fourth film should be an adaptation of Mark Waid's Unthinkable and the Claremont/Larrocca run with Doom once again presented as the big bad and Valeria Richards playing a role.

I am curious if ratings start to suffer. I wonder if they would consider a jump in time...say 5yrs or more. Where you could see a college age Bruce getting more involved.
Racism/Bullying in Schools
Recently there was an issue at a local school near me and after hearing about it I decided to look more into this sort of thing to see if it's a rare issue or a much larger problem. I had assumed school officials had this sort of thing under better control but sadly that's not the case and this issue like the one linked below is fairly common.
As someone who has a child that will be going into grade school in a few years this has become something of a more personal issue and i'm actually pretty outraged by the complete failure of many school districts lack of response towards racist behavior and general bullying. (especially when it so often becomes physical) I feel like I can't depend on officials to do anything and would need to take action myself if this sort of thing happened to my child. Going so far as to confront the parents themselves with legal action in order for them to take responsibility for their child.
Does anyone else have these same concerns about sending their child to school? Or perhaps you already have one at school...and they have been bullied. How did you respond and was the situation resolved?

Will Forte, the former Saturday Night Live player who currently stars in The Last Man on Earth, has joined the cast of Keanu, New Line’s comedy featuring Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. Keanu, which is being directed by Peter Atencio, follows two friends (Key and Peele) who decide to act like gangster drug-dealers in order to retrieve a stolen kitten. Method Man is already on board as a murderous drug lord who believes the duo are a pair of legendary gangsters while Gabrielle Union is playing Key’s wife. Forte will play a low-level pot dealer obsessed with black culture although Peele’s character is the only black person he knows. The movie is due to shoot this summer in New Orleans. Forte had a ten year run on SNL while also popping up in movies and TV shows. He made an acclaimed dramatic turn by starring in Alexander Payne’s 2013 drama Nebraska. He is now generating Emmy buzz for his work on Last Man on Earth, which he created and co-writes and in which he walks a fine line of sympathetic and unlikeable. The show returns for its second season this fall. Forte, who just wrapped an appearance in Adam Sandler comedy Ridiculous Six, is repped by UTA, Mosaic and Hansen Jacobson. |

Flash 2014 TV Series Proves People Want Firestorm
I never thought I would ever see a live action incarnation of my favourite DC hero, but then Flash 2014 pleasantly surprised me by including Ronnie Raymond, (and Martin Stein, and Jason Rusch.) It makes sense that Firestorm would be in Flash's series since after his first comic series was cancelled after 5 issues, his stories began being published in the back of Flash comics.
I found another pleasant surprise for Firestorm fans in the new Flash tv series. I noticed that the episodes that featured Firestorm consistently got higher ratings! Firestorm IS popular DC! Very soon DC is going to be rolling out a bunch of brand new comic series, and Firestorm's tv reception proves he should have a book among them!

A Little Help With Blackest Night/Brightest Day (Firestorm/Green Lantern stuff)
I'm mostly a Marvel guy, but the one DC comic I do collect is Firestorm--he's always been my favourite DC character by far. (I have all of v3 and v4) After Firestorm, I'm also a big Green Lantern, (and GL Corps) fan. I'm kicking myself for missing out on the one time DC does a crossover even using both characters prominently, (not counting the stuff they've done together as JLA members), Blackest Night & Brightest Day.
Could someone please point me to the issues that cover Firestorm & GL? Obviously the whole story revolves around GL/GLC, but I'm mainly interested in Firestorm and I don't care about the Brightest Day stuff in particular that covers all the other characters that aren't Firestorm or GL.

Panther's Pride
The Panther's Pride is a team I created, consisting of three superheroes who were at one time member of the fantastic four, and another that was a member of a Fantastic Four team up group, the Fantastic Force.
They are Black Panther, Storm, Luke Cage and Vibraxas.
Black Panther and Storm joined the Fantastic Four after the events of Civil War when Reed and Sue took time off to mend their relationship. Luke Cage had temporarily been a member of the Fantastic Four when Thing temporarily lost his powers. Vibraxas, on the other hand was a member of the Fantastic Four spin-off team Fantastic Force, where he had replaced the Human Torch.

Can someone please explain Warner blocking certain characters from tv appearances?
I just read that Harley is being blocked from appearing on either "Arrow" or "Flash". I also know that Ray Palmer/Atom was originally going to be Blue Beetle. Finally, we know they can't show Supes, Bats & WW.
So here is my question...Why? It makes no sense. Warner has said both its tv and movie verses were separate. So why not allow any of these characters from appearing.
Has anyone from Warner or the production teams answered this question?

High School Redux – A group of drunken teenagers take a late night joyride with disasters consequences. As they cover up the accident, the man mysteriously comes back to life and attacks one of the girls. After Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the girl’s brain, she is taken back to high school as she and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigate the case. A surprise death of one of the victim’s friends raises some serious questions about the case. Major (Robert Buckley) believes Blaine’s (David Anders) deli is not all it seems to be. Rahul Kohli also stars. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Diane Ruggiero-Wright (#112).
5 Heroes I'd like to see on The Flash
1. Ralph Dibny
One of my favorite relationships in the comics is Barry Allen and Ralph Dibny's.
He operates in Central City and is one of The Flash's best allies. He was even one of Barry's Groomsmen.
I know they already referenced Ralph Dibny as one of the people who disappeared after being hit by the particle accelerator, so he must be out there somewhere.
One of my favorite parts of Ralph isn't his stretching powers but his detective skills. I would almost rather see them introduce him as a detective, either as a PI or as a detective that get transferred to Barry's department in central city, discovers he is the Flash through deduction and detective work, and then gets his stretchy powers and becomes a hero.
I'd like to see a Ralph established where he's already married to Sue. The Ralph/Sue relationship is also a great dynamic in the comics.
2. Hal Jordan
Obviously Hal/Barry Brave and The Bold is one of the best hero/hero relationships in DC.
Green Lantern is obviously a hugely popular and well known character so he'd be a great get for the CWverse. Also Hal and Oliver being best friends as well could make it so the CW's Trinity would consist of Lantern, Flash, and Arrow which are probably my 3 favorite characters in the entire DCU anyways.
3. Jay Garrick
Almost didn't include because it seems like he's coming next season for sure already, but I have always loved Jay Garrick and his relationship with Barry.
Barry growing up a giant fan of Jay Garrick's flash comics, and even playing Flash as a kid is one of my favorite parts of The Flash, and although that will have to be dropped in the CWverse the fact that their introducing Jay Garrick is amazing.
I would also love to see Barry go to Earth-2 where Jay Garrick is an older, possibly already retired Flash who has already established the Justice Society
(Also, since the Superman from The Supergirl pilot is already older and established, I was thinking the Superman in the Justice society could be the Superman from Supergirl, and this could be a cool way to tie Supergirl to the CWverse.)
4. Wally West!
Another obvious one! I don't know if Wally's original origin of being Barry's nephew who is randomly struck by the same lightning as him would work on the CW Flash.
Wally could be a Flash from another timeline like Jay Garrick, but I also thought of another possible origin:
In the comics, Iris's real parents are from the future. I was thinking there could be a storyline involving revealing that Iris's mother and Joe's ex wife is actually from the future sent back in time to ensure that Iris is born in Barry's timeline to be his lightning rod (something people in the future know The Flash needs to have)
You could have Wally be Iris's nephew on her mother's side who is also from the future (similar to BART Allen's back story) and travels back because he is born with accelerated aging and speed effects that Barry needs to fix.
5. Booster Gold
With Rip Hunter being a big character in LOT and time travel being such a big part of The Flash, I'm kind of surprised Booster Gold hasn't already been talked about being introduced.
I think you could very naturally fit Booster Gold into The Flash, especially the older Booster Gold who works with the time masters and trained his son to be Rip Hunter.

With Rip Hunter being a big character in LOT and time travel being such a big part of The Flash, I'm kind of surprised Booster Gold hasn't already been talked about being introduced.
I think you could very naturally fit Booster Gold into The Flash, especially the older Booster Gold who works with the time masters and trained his son to be Rip Hunter.
Looking for haunted house insurance
I just bought my first house, but it's so old that when it was first built it didn't have indoor plumbing (only an out-house). Obviously it's been upgraded since then. The city I live in is the 3rd oldest in the U.S. So naturally, I'm looking for an insurance policy that covers a potential haunting. Advice?

Notifications Not Working
Having a bit of trouble with notifications, I used to always receive notifications that were sent via email (whenever someone qouted my post an email would be sent, subscribed threas posts etc.) but ever since the website was down last month for a day it stopped sending notifications to my email, I've checked in settings and I haven't changed anything so not sure whats wrong.

Bond, James Bond. The 007 Thread.
This Thread is to discuss all things James Bond. 1st Bond film you saw in a theater, your favorite Bond movie, Bond Girl, Henchmen, books, anecdotes etc... I'll start.
The 1st Bond movie I saw in the theater was a rerelease of From Russia With Love, still to this day one of my favorite Bond films (and my favorite Henchman, Robert Shaw/Red Grant.)
And even though I now prefer Daniel Craig, I still love Sean Connery and also Roger Moore who made a couple great ones too.
My favorite Connery anecdote is when he was asked in a talk show who the greatest Bond Villain was and answered: "Albert Broccoli."

How I Think Season 3 Should Have Gone...
I think it needs no explaining that Arrow Season 3 was a divisive year with respect to story and character. The reasons for which are many and have been stated, restated and argued multiple times in various places on the forum throughout the year. As such, I won't be going too much into them. Instead, I thought I'd try putting together my take on how Season 3 could've gone.
Thoughts and feedback for both, the idea and how I've organised it would be much appreciated. Anyway, without further adieu, here's my take on Arrow Season 3.
SETTING
NEW/ALTERED CHARACTERS
[spoiler]Ray Palmer - A tech entrepreneur, owner of Amertek Industries and all-around philanthropist, who has recently moved to Starling City following his acquisition of Queen Consolidated. May be harbouring a dark secret.
Werner Zytle - Boss of the Vlatavan crime families who has come to Starling City seeking vengeance after learning of the death of his son, the original Count Vertigo. Uses a new version of vertigo, that is aerosolised and effective even when inhaled, as weapons of terror.
Amanda Waller - Head of ARGUS in the present day. However, in the flashbacks, she is in charge of its Hong Kong operations, and is attempting to shut China White down.
Jade Nguyen - Thief, assassin, and chief enforcer of China White's operations in Hong Kong in 2009/2010.
Cheshire - A thief operating in present day Starling City who Roy first encounters. She wears a cat-style kabuki mask.[/spoiler]

- Following Slade's siege of Starling City at the end of Season 2, Starling City Police Department is severely understaffed and the Glades once again a hotbed for crime.
- Team Arrow is in a good, stable place; with Oliver taking Roy under his wing for training, while Diggles and Felicity continue providing support.
- No one has heard from Thea since her departure at the end of Season 2. Roy feels responsible for this but has kept it a secret from Oliver, who thinks she's somewhere in Europe "needing her space".
- Quentin is still in hospital, recovering from injuries sustained at the end of Season 2.
- At the start of the season, a scandal breaks courtesy of an unknown source; revealing Thea to be Malcolm Merlyn's daughter.

Episode 1:

- With the city the safest it's been in 2 years, Oliver finally attempts to live a normal life by taking Felicity out on a date. However, the night is cut short when the restaurant is attacked by a man using vertigo-laced explosives. Oliver escapes but Felicity is badly injured as a result of vertigo poisoning.
- As a means of luring Oliver out, Zytle plants another vertigo-containing bomb in the city centre. However, the attack is foiled through the timely intervention of Sara/Canary.
- Sara visits Quentin at the hospital, where she meets Laurel. The three of them share a moment before the sisters leave the hospital to continue talking. Laurel comments about having difficulty coping with all the deaths that have happened the past few years and implores Sara to come back.
- Sara leaves only to be shot and killed by an unseen person using arrows, with Laurel finding the body.
- As a subplot, Oliver attends a board meeting to regain Queen Consolidated but is unable to convince them from selling to Palmer, particularly following a suspiciously well timed scandal outing Thea as Merlyn's daughter, along with a promised plans to "save this city".
- In the flashbacks, Oliver is taken Hong Kong by ARGUS (Waller and Maseo). He is initially interrogated about Mirakuru and when it's apparent he doesn't have it, they attempt to force him to work for them. He attempts to escape but is eventually cowed into obedience when they threaten his family.
Episode 2
[spoiler]
- Team Arrow attempts to uncover Sara's killer by finding out why she was in Starling City. Having no success, they instead track down another League of Assassins member who is initially less than cooperative. After an initial confrontation, the Assassin reveals that he knew nothing as they were on separate missions but discloses a safe house that Sara would have used.
- There, the team discover that Sara had been tracking Merlyn; revealing that the Dark Arrow was still alive and had been in Starling City. Oliver immediately gets worried about Thea's safety; deciding he needed to find her and bring her back to Starling City.
- Meanwhile, following the fallout of Zytle's terror attacks, Palmer unveils and signs a contract with the city to support the understaffed SCPD by providing security to the Glades through the newly reorganised Blackhawk Protection Group.
- In the flashbacks, ARGUS coerce Oliver into using his biometrics to grant them access to the Hong Kong branch of Queen Consolidated to steal some classified data. This is the first chronological use of the router arrow.
Episode 3
[spoiler]
- Oliver tracks Thea to Corto Maltese. Roy finally explains why Thea left; which pisses Oliver off. He forbids Roy from accompanying him; as he and Diggles travel to Corto Maltese to bring Thea home.
- While there, they encounter Merlyn. After a confrontation, the latter swears he had nothing to do with Sara's death; the news coming as a surprise to him. Oliver nonetheless warns Merlyn to stay away from Thea.
- Oliver talks to Thea and although reluctant, the latter finally agrees to come home to Starling City.
- Meanwhile, back in Starling City, Roy goes out on a solo mission to stop a break-in at a laboratory, where he encounters a female thief in a cat-style kabuki mask (Cheshire) who proves to be his match in combat. They trade remarks at one another while they fight but Roy is ultimately unsuccessful at stopping her from escaping with a case of mysterious chemicals.
- In the flashbacks, the data that Oliver stole turns out to be for a Project Lazarus; a research project being conducted at Queen Consolidated subsidiary, Unidac Industries. Oliver and Maseo attempt to steal it but are intercepted by a woman who is later revealed as Jade Nguyen, the China White's chief enforcer in Hong Kong.
Episode 4
[spoiler]
- Roy tells Oliver about Cheshire though the latter is initially distracted; worrying about Thea and looking for clues to Sara's murderer. However, he is then contacted by Waller who informs him that the stolen chemicals were components similar to that from Project Lazarus. She orders him to find the mastermind unless Oliver wishes to have ARGUS deploying Task Force X in his city. Waller then informs Oliver of the location for the second half of the chemicals needed in Project Lazarus; which would be where the thief was likely to hit. Laurel isn't happy about this as she feels that Oliver should be spending his time looking for her sister's killer.
- At the same time, Nyssa is back in town; searching for Sara's killer, and convinced that it's Merlyn. To lure him out, she abducts Thea.
- Learning of this, Team Arrow is forced to abandon their search for Cheshire in order to defeat Nyssa. Once defeated, Oliver explains to Nyssa that Merlyn did not kill Sara but she doesn't believe him. Laurel overhears this as well and is equally convinced that Merlyn is the killer and feels betrayed that Oliver is protecting him.
- At the end of the episode, Laurel and Nyssa decide to team up to hunt Merlyn down.

season one episode 13 question
its the episode of when Skye gets shot twice in the stomach.
SHE GOT shot shot twice in the stomach. That is 99 percent that she should of died in minutes. a bullet wound to the stomach will cause someone to drown in there own blood. believe me i know. thats how my dad died. but skye did not die instantly and was still able to talk and move some what about.
do you think her resilience has to do with her being the daughter of jaiying?

I don't know why they haven't let Thor say that, I guess because whomever, writers or producers were strict on this because they thought it would be cheesy. I disagree and think Thor's famous catchphrase can be used properly and be awesome.
We never got the "Avengers Assemble" line, or some other lines I can't think of, but I think Thor's "For Asgard" line could be awesome.
When I heard that the Hulk would say "Hulk Smash" in The Incredible Hulk movie, I thought it would be cheesy. I know fans demanded that Hulk say this, atill thought to myself, what's the use of that though? Turns out, I was wrong. I thought Hulk would sound monsterous and slow but the way Lou Ferrigno delivered the line was effing awesome. Perfect voice. Hulk said it with passion, he was like, "HULK....SMASH!" It was anger and passion. It was beautiful and epic.
I think the same can be just as epic for Thor if he has a moment in a climax where he makes his ultimate swing with his hammar and throws it fast, yelling "FOR ASGARD!"

Fantomex in Film
I've really felt taken by this new X-Man, who was made only 13 years ago. I hear he has a really huge following and from what I've read featuring him, he seems to be really cool. From his costume, to his gear to his attitude, I feel that Fantomex could make for a really great character to be in the X-Men movies. The idea of EVA could be really interesting to see adapted to film as well.
Of course with Apocalypse already fully loaded, we probably will not see him there, but New Mutants is always a possibility. I could see him working for Gambit, in a bit role as well. Given that he was created as a part of Weapon Plus, and I remember somebody mentioning that it could come in play as a part of Wolverine III, and maybe it could sow the seeds for Fantomex.
As for actors, I could see Luke Evans taking the role or Colin Farrell. Both seem slightly old to me, though, so my favorite option would have to be Dave Franco or Charles Michael Davis.

There seems to be brand new movies with young spies as the theme being made etc, I went back and saw this. The cinematography, score, acting, is all top notch. This also has Eric Bana being awesome, what ever happen to his career? Cate Blanchette trying to kill a child isn't bizarre enough for ya?
I actually did not think much of this when it came out, but it has grown on me greatly. I'd rather see folks check this one out than Barely Lethal or if you are waiting for the Kingsman bluray to come out..give this a chance as well.
Great action sequences.

The Panther's Pride
The Panther's Pride is a team I created, consisting of Black Panther, Storm, Luke Cage and Vibraxas, as a spin-off of the Fantastic Four.
Three members, Black Panther, Storm and Luke Cage, had temporarily been a member of the Fantastic Four, having replaced Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman and Thing.
Vibraxas, on the other hand was a member of the Fantastic Force, where he had replaced the Human Torch.

The Original Cut: What do you think was omitted and why?
The original cut of the film is said to be roughly three and a half hours.

I personally really love the film, but like many others, I feel that there are some pacing issues and some truncated moments that seem to hinder some scenes.
So what do you think was cut?
For example: I think there's evidence that Vision and Thor likely had more of an altercation during the birthing scene. Had that been left in, it could have been a cool action scene that showed vision as potential threat. but it also might have allowed the audience to better understand Vision's naivete and his distinct powers and abilities.
Clearly Loki was cut. What could that have added? Were there scenes that showed a slower progression of Ultron's turn into a evil "murderbot". Do you think the twins have any worthwhile scenes that didn't make it to the final cut? Would you have liked any extended scenes of the Hulk, maybe even giving him a few lines?
What would you have liked to see included? What deleted scenes do you think will show up on DVD/BluRay? Would you want a 3 and 1/2 hour run time?

ARROW Producers Had "Big Plans" For 'Harley Quinn' Before SUICIDE SQUAD
Talking at the MCM London (via Spoiler TV) comic book convention today, WIlla Holland (Thea Queen/Speedy) had this to say about the original plans for Harley Quinn in Arrow. "We had big plans for Harley. But, I guess something came down from DC execs that told us to shut it down," the actress revealed to disappointed fans. "I mean we had that tease with the pigtails and the ARGUS outfit but, we’ll never see it. We would love to Harley in Arrow but it will never happen."

What happend to Future Barry?
We see him briefly in the season finale, the Reverse Flash also mentions that the Flash was not "available" (paraphrasing) which is why he needed to make Barry the Flash.
Do you think that after he saved his young self, he was erased in the manner of what happened to Eobard?
Or do you think he returned to his timeline, the world that he had left?
If he was erased though, I wonder why he is still presented in the future newspaper and his AI that he invented, still exists.

For me its still season 9, Smallville had a little trouble moving on from the loss of Lex in season 8 but with the introduction of Zod and the Kandorians in the ninth season the show truly moved on from his loss. That in part was greatly helped by Callum Blue's awesome portrayal as Zod. Clark wearing the S symbol (even if it was in a black a strict style outfit) was great to see. The series really nailed it from start to finish, many of the episodes were fantastic. The JSA two parter was a major highlight and that was when the show truly embraced it's comic book routes. Another highlight of the season was Metallo but for me the best part of the season was the episode Pandora that gave us a look at what would have happened had Zod's plans come to fruition. The series then finished off with the best season finale of the shows entire run. Those reasons and many more are why season 9 is for me the very best, Infact it's so good I'd still put it up there alongside any season of any other CB TV show.

CHAPTER I
Marian Hawke and her three comrades sat in shadows at the edge of a trench. Large, mountain-shaped stone jutted from the cavern floor, giving the four questers considerable cover.
Legions of darkspawn assembled at the bottom of the trench. Each wore scant armor on their corpses. Their blacksmiths forged the pieces from grainy obsidian, giving an aura of rawness to the pointed shoulder guards, guantlets, and grieves. They waved their swords and shouted praises to a draconian oddity on a platform; the archdemon, their god.
“So this is what it means to be a Grey Warden,” Hawke muttered. “They really should’ve put this in the brochure.” And in a more imbittered voice: “Duncan. Into what madness did you force me?”
Morrigan shrugged. She rapped her nails on her bladed staff. Feathers and fangs decorated the weapon where the rough wood joined with the curved silverite. “Keeping the true nature of the Wardens a secret. ‘Tis not surprising. Tales of legends are far more enticing than the grim reality.”
“That’s the archdemon?” Their dwarf grunted. “Baw. I crap things bigger than that."
Hawke wrinkled her nose. "Thank you for that colorful image, Oghren. I’d say the edge of your axe is about the width of its neck. One good swing should do it.”
“By 'axe’ you mean my -”
“Stop right there, dwarf,” Morrigan said.
“Hold onto hope,” Leliana whispered into Hawke’s ear. She sat closest to the Warden. Her leather armor creaked as she leaned in and kissed her on the lips. “We’re wearing down, but we can push through the dark.”
“Can we?” Hawke looked at the state of herself. The rounded lip of her one shoulder pad was already chipped. Her waist was freed for movement, covered in thin chainmail, while the breastplate was light. The armor at this point, though, strained her muscles. She had walked this far into the Deep Roads, far into the Dead Trenches. The grit and sweat on her skin thickened over these weeks, chaffing; she felt increasingly uncomfortable. 'Add anxious onto the list of nasty feelings.’

And so it came to pass that Hawke, Leliana, Morrigan, and Oghren escaped the notice of the archdemon, but encountered the old god’s minions by the dozens on their journey through the labyrinth. Among these enemies was an ogre, once again the height of a grown man, armed by muscle and a pair of long horns upon its head.
Hawke, being a rogue, took a place at its posterior, slashing away with dual blades. The ogre would turn to swipe at the pest, but Hawke would vanish, only to appear again and slice at those bulky thighs.
Leliana, a rogue herself of the archer sort, stood on a rock a safe-enough distance away and fired flaming arrows at the ogre.
The dwarf, sturdy and strong, taunted the beast at its front and took the worst of the hits.
Morrigan shot icy spells at darkspawn. She froze two, dodged swings from the surrounding grunts, then used melee attacks to shatter the frozen; repeat.
The party reached its destination at the Anvil of the Void. The forge was on a stone outcropping, surrounded partly by a river of molten lava. There they met Branca the Paragon, who sought to use the power of the Anvil to forge golems. But there were golems already waiting within, already forged ages ago; and Branca had found the magical rod with which to control them.
Oghren, who was Branca’s former lover, pleaded for her to cease with the insanity. She was too far gone, and used the rod to make the golems attack. Hawke and company fought past them to Branca.
The Warden slashed the Paragon’s throat, took the control rod, and told the golems to take a leap.

“Does anyone else hear ominous marching in the background?” Hawke twirled her daggers. She stood with the others at the center of the outcrop, surrounded by shattered golems, dead dwarves, and random rocks. Lyrium veins glowed to illuminate the areas outside the magma-light. “Where’s it coming from?”
Leliana pointed to a crack in the wall. “From there, I think.”
“How many more sodding golems do I have to carve through?” Oghren’s axe blade stuck in the ground at his feet. Hawke worried he may leave it there and allow himself to die when more enemies arrived.
Morrigan leaned heavily on her staff. “That lyrium. Can anyone else feel the vibrations from it?”
They turned to stand in a tight circle, facing outward, shoulder to shoulder. 'Do we have it left in us to fight our way back to Orzammar? I have my doubts. But mother and Bethany need me. I at least owe them a last effort.’
The marching drew closer. Metal on stone. And then it paused. The party held their breath for a few moments until an explosion of light and stone which issued from the breech. They snapped from their exhaustion, filled with shock and anticipation for this unique enemy.
Roughly human-shaped somethings in sleek armor marched out of a new entrance, three units wide. Their heads seemed to be melded to the tops of their torsos, and their limbs were strangely slender.
'Eliminate Republic Forces.’
'Prioritize Jedi Commander.’
'Roger Roger.’
“What the fudging hell?” Hawke shook herself. “Scatter to your positions!”
Leliana went for the nearest high place, while Morrigan went to stand off to the side. Oghren growled and took his axe up again.
The front three stepped aside for the next three, and within moments their numbers threatened to overcome.
Leliana fired an arrow at one. It made a 'clink’ sound and bounced off. Hawke side-stepped and lowered to a stoop, preparing to rush between their flanks.
Several enemies opened fire at once. Bolts of light shot from their arms, aimed at Hawke and the others. One bolt grazed Hawke’s gauntlet. The Warden dropped her dagger as a burning sensation pulsated from the wound. The dwarf fell onto all fours. Leliana toppled off her rock. Morrigan, however, had erected a magical barrier and deflected the cascade of bolts that had come for her, but the mage was nonetheless thrown back.
Hawke tossed down a smoke bomb and grabbed Oghren’s shoulders, dragging the dwarf backward toward a row of boulders that could serve as concealment. “Morrigan. Follow.”
They found Leliana on her back, breathing rapidly and grasping at a hole in her shoulder. Hawke ripped away the leather there while reassuring her that all would be well. “It’s burned shut. Can you move your arm?” The red-head whimpered as she bent her elbow.
“They missed anything too important in there.” Hawke kissed her.
She then looked to Oghren. It turned out that the bolt had been slowed by the blade of his axe, and moreso by his armor. He refused to take off the front plate.
“I ain’t got time to bleed.” He lowered his head and sighed. “I know the legends of the golems. These could be some weird design from Carradin, but those weird metallic crossbows, glowing bolts? Pssh. By the sacks of my ancestors.”
The strange golems kept put, but fired at the cover, chipping off chunks. Smoke and dust spread in the air.
Morrigan tapped Hawke’s damaged gauntlet. “And what of you?”
Hawke grabbed her own wrist and cautiously tugged. Dull metal scraped at burnt flesh. She grimaced and forced onward until the gauntlet was off. She threw it down and examined her forearm. A small, blackened slice tainted her flesh, but nothing extreme. She bled from the cut where she had dragged the metal toward her wrist. “And that was without my rabbit’s foot.”
“What do we do? They overpower us.” Leliana caressed Hawke’s hand. “We accomplished what we came here to do.”
“It’s no good,” Hawke answered. “We have to fall back.”
Morrigan moaned and touched her forehead. Her staff, beside her, rolled over on its own; then again, back and forth. “That thrumming. I don’t -”
Hawke clicked her tongue. “Is that lyrium finally getting to you? I always understood the stuff to be a little dangerous, but I don’t know what this is about.” She frowned at the staff.
“As I said, we need to escape. With you, preferably.”
“I can feel it inside me,” the witch said. She snatched up her staff and sat up, eyes widened and muscles flexed. She was filled by a phantom vigor.
Hawke cleared her throat. “Thank you. The way I see it, we can make for the exit and use grenades to block a passage out of the Deep Roads.”
“Wait,” Morrigan said.
“Now what?” “This may sound odd, but… I can see our probable actions and the possible repercussions.”
The crisp blasts of the projectile weapons suddenly stopped and the enemies marched again.
Hawke scowled. “More specific, less cryptic, would be nice.”
Morrigan stared intensely at the Warden. “I can see what’s about to happen in our battle with these constructs.”
“From witch of the wilds to prophet. And here I thought I was supposed to be the special one.”
“Jest if it pleases you, but be ready to act.” Morrigan climbed up the cover and thrust out her staff. Lightning sprayed from the tip. “Command the dwarf to go berzerk.”
Hawke stood and rose up on tip-toe. She saw the electrical bolt fork, hit several of the constructs, and branch off to fry others. Their march was halted for the present moment. “Oghren. Go do your thing.”
“Gladly.” Hawke watched Oghren round the rocks and rush the first construct to lower its arm to aim. He swung down at the offending arm and chopped it off. Sparks sputtered from the wound. While his axe blade pointed down, he pushed at the ground with his foot and rammed his shoulder into the damaged enemy, making it trip backward into one of its partners. The dwarf whirled about and raised his weapon again.
“Be ready to throw your dagger,” the witch called down to Hawke.
“Oh, are you the leader now?” Hawke crawled up the rocks to beside Morrigan, readying her weapon.
A few of the metal things stopped and turned toward Oghren. He held the blade horizontally, drew it far back to gain some momentum, and swung at a midsection. SHRAAK! The blade was stuck. He gave a tug, found it to be quite wedged in, then looked up at the still-standing enemy. “Oh crap.”
Hawke threw her readied dagger.
The blade hit. Oghren covered his face with an arm for a second, and lowered it to see the hilt of a dagger sticking in the construct’s head. The enemy fell and the axe handle slid from his hands. He looked over his shoulder to find Hawke. She winked at him, then slid back down to Leliana. In fact, the things were starting to move again, turning and firing at nothing in particular. Glowing bolts exploded on the floor and ceiling. A few were close to hitting Hawke and Leliana.
Oghren placed his foot on the fallen foe and pressed down, pulling the handle with his bulky arms. The axe came free.
Hawke picked up Leliana and ran for the forge exit, Morrigan and Oghren running after.

This, to me, is just part of what should be basic human rights. I almost can't believe it is only just about to become legal.
Not to say I am not pleased though. Just dismayed it has taken so long and that it was ever "a thing" at all.
But homosexuality was not decriminalised in the United Kingdom until the 1960's...

Best CGI animated film of the past 20 years ('95-'15 only)
as old as this makes me feel, toy story is 20 years old. We've had countless films animated entirely with CGI (or 3d animation as we used to call it.)since then this is a place to discuss the best of the best, in terms of critical reception and personal opinion.
I hope to have either a poll or bracket up soon, but need help from you guys to decide how many movies we should have in the running, and which films should go off against which. I would prefer to have movies with similar themes go up against each other in the first round, such as the Lego movie vs toy story, a bugs life vs antz. Ect. However any bracket placements are open for discussion.
So the first thing to decide: should we have an all inclusive list, or nominate a top 20, and go from there?

Punisher: War Zone - Your consensus 7 years later?
Watching this now for the third time in the last few weeks. I actually like it...when I saw it opening day I liked it and then for a long time I hated it (I don't know why).
But now that I've revisited it, I like it more than I ever have before. It's not better than the 2004 entry but it's pretty good on its own. It just doesn't tap into the emotional depth of the 2004 movie & has dialogue that's much more cheesy but it still kinda works. The action, however, is better & more of whatI expect from Punisher in live action.
Part of me still wishes a sequel could've been made.
