Ireland to legalise same sex marriage

This, to me, is just part of what should be basic human rights. I almost can't believe it is only just about to become legal.
Not to say I am not pleased though. Just dismayed it has taken so long and that it was ever "a thing" at all.
But homosexuality was not decriminalised in the United Kingdom until the 1960's...
