Discussion: Anti-Establishment & 1% Thread

I'm starting this thread because I couldn't find one. I was going to name it the 'Independent' party, but I don't think that quite puts it clearly enough. The democrats and republicans both have their own threads, I could find none for those who are independents and this is a form of independence that I'm seeing rising. It's one of the things that Hillary, Trump, 3rd party and non voters have in common, our commonality, rejecting the ways of old and wanting to tear the establishment down. This is for those who hated both candidates and what the system has come to be. Right now, I believe that's something crucial to focus on - our commonality.

Many claim that holding such a belief as tearing down the Democrat, Republican, and 1% system is dangerous, I say that's reactionary. The founding fathers as well as hippies and political activists of the 60s/70s were seen as dangerous by the elders as well. The same elders who handed many of us the Great Depression 2.0 to graduate to starting in 2008. Something is happening here and that thread is for that.

I want to stress anti-establishment does not mean bigoted. Anti-establishment is taking power away from those in charge and giving it back to the people. Away from the republicans and away from the democrats, we've seen what their forms of government and corporate machines have done - the world that's created that we've unfortunately inherited. We have to remember that the main threat here is the establishment - not each other, not minorities (that's just a ploy to divert). This in-fighting is taking focus away from the real threat that's been standing over us for years. Bob Dylan puts this great, this isn't an old strategy that the establishment has employed to turn the 99% against each other:

It's an old ruse, an old con that's been played throughout time to make people look the other way.

The democrats and republicans have their own threads, this is for the outsiders. The so-called "dangerous" ones. The ones who are truly tired of playing within party lines. With this view increasing, as said, I feel like it deserves its own thread because we are growing in numbers.

Here's the thing. You can't trade one form of establishment for another, that's keeping the establishment. Anti establishment means exactly that - tearing down all parties as well as the 1%. In short, this is for those who viewed Trump and Hillary as evils, suspicious of both. This means protecting all people. And the second Trump steps out of line, the second he does anything to benefit the rich instead of the poor and middle class us 99% - as Bernie suggested, we stomp on his throat and truly work to take our country back.

As said, to the elders this thread will be seen as "dangerous" but fact of the matter is - this is a rising social consciousness, something that can't and should not be ignored. Especially when it's the one belief that unifies people.
