PC Gaming and TV's

So, I am debating getting back into PC gaming. Next year I’ll have enough to buy a high end rig that can run anything on ultra settings….but I’m still debating if it’s worth it. Mainly what is holding me back is playing games on a monitor. After playing my PS4 on a giant TV I just can’t go back to a tiny monitor. So, I was thinking of hooking up my future PC to my TV but was told that games look ugly on a TV due to the lower resolution.



Is this true? Thoughts?
