What Do You Think the Plot Will be?

So Kinberg said that it's going to incorporate "much of the comic". By comic he meant Age of Apocalypse. He also said it would be a disaster film. Honestly, Age of Apocalypse was not a disaster comic, it was a comic set in the times after what would have been a disaster comic. This gets me thinking it's mostly going to follow those early issues where it showed how Apocalypse ruined North America. It will adapt much of the early comic, but obviously not include key elements like Xavier's death, Legion and such. However, therefore, we can insinuate that it means that they'll be adapting the central themes of the comic and the feelings that it invokes. That's why it's called Apocalypse and not Age of Apocalypse.

There are other details we have been given about Apocalypse, such as that Kinberg has explained that Apocalypse will be a leader, but a new type of leader. He called him the darkest leader. From what we have seen, Apocalypse has the Four Horsemen with him as well, acting as his lieutenants. However, what of his advisers like Mr. Sinister and Ozymandias?

From what I can tell, the Cult of Aqaba (not that stupid Akkaba way of spelling, the city is Aqaba) will be present. How can I tell this? Kinberg has stated that Apocalypse will try and proselytize mutants over to his cause and this may include familiar mutants. Apocalypse is building an army, the Cult of Aqaba, with which he will lead a fight for human extinction. The Cult of Aqaba will be led by the Four Horsemen, who they may be I have no clue.

Now, also note that Kinberg confirmed that Quicksilver will have an expanded role. This is seemingly confirmation (to me) that they will address him as Magneto's son. That get's me thinking, Kinberg also said he wants to have some sort of sympathy related with Apocalypse. So why not draw parallels with Magneto, easily the sympathetic character (NAZIS and Jews). Therefore, I have a feeling that one of Apocalypse's ancestors is going to be retconned into being his son or daughter. Which one? Frederick Slade, why? His connection to Blink, who proved to be a more popular character. If Fred is in it, I'm sure they'll just use his powers as a way of referencing Blink for fan food.

So with all of this in mind, I have a feeling the rough plot will be this, maybe. Apocalypse awakens, approaches Xavier and Magneto, both of whom are now forming the X-Men (with Gambit) and the Brotherhood. Mystique on the other hand has adopted a child named Kurt Wagner (it's easier if it's adoption because biological would add to much mush to the continuity). All three witness the destruction of the Cult of Aqaba and the Four Horsemen in different ways. Apocalypse approaches both Xavier and Magneto. Although they initially decide to work separately, with Mystique seemingly working outside of them, all three forces end up working together. The Four Horsemen replace the Pale Riders in this adaptation, Mystique, Nightcrawler, a Brother and an X-Man take them down. Scott, Jean and Hank go to Mister Sinister and Ozymandias. Magneto, Quicksilver and Professor X go and confront Apocalypse and Fred. Quicksilver dispatches Fred, but is stopped by Apocalypse. Scott convinces Sinister to betray Apocalypse and he gives them the one method of defeating the mutant leader. Just when all hope seems to be lost for Fassneto and Charles McAvoy the X-Men come and take down Apocalpyse, sending him into dormancy. Now partners again, Charles and Xavier discuss what the future holds and what they'll do if somebody like Apocalypse comes. They agree on the X-Men, sit down and play chess.

Now watch Kinberg sue me for creating a story that is very much like his story and he suspect's me of being one of his interns who stole the treatment.
