Knight Rider

What do you think about Brad Copeland (and the original writer Glen A. Larson) writing a Knight Rider film?

I think they could easily mess up like the 2008 series. So here are my thoughts:

What car model should they use?

I would say they shouldn't use a muscle car. I LOVE muscle cars, but it just ISN'T KITT! Some have suggested a Corvette. I think this is a better shape for KITT, I don't like that they look like they have such a long nose. The car should be a rare enough car, but should also not be some exotic car. They COULD go with the 2015 Pontiac Trans-Am (the original KITT was a 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am) The problem I would say is that the 2015 style looks more like a muscle car. (/is one) I think they could use a muscle car, and I would be fine, just as long as they don't use a transformer like they did in the 2008 series.

Who should be the actors?

There have been names thrown out such as Chris Pratt and Danny McBride. When I heard this i realized: Chris Pratt's personality is just like Micheal Knight! He would play him perfectly! I then heard rumors that Danny would be KITT's voice. No. Just... no. His voice is too deep and scraggly, it's not that he has a bad voice, it's just it ISN'T kitt. Who could play his voice? I don't have any ideas. I know who should play Devon Miles, David Hasselhoff himself! What better old guy to fill inn but the previous actor for Micheal? This could also mean that this could be a sequel to the original show, but that would be a bit weird, I hope it doesn't turn into that.

What was wrong with the 2008 reboot?

I think the transforming was one. Second, KITT is not a utility belt, sure he has a lot of tools, but he get's new ones for specific episodes. In the original series he didn't just start out as a batman utility belt, allowing him to pull out whatever was handy to the script. He had specific abilities which were shown in the first episode, simple ones. Auto pilot, boost/jump etc. What we don't want is random grappling hooks flying out whenever KITT happens to need them, or the whole car transforming to change models. The biggest transformation that KITT had was his super pursuit mode, they should use that. Things folding out in one specific area, not needing any crazy CGI. Thats another thing, they need to keep the CGI at minimum. I think it can be useful, but the series showed that you don't NEED it.

In case you haven't seen the series, all you need to see is this clip to see what went wrong. (Maybe not all you need to see, but it's a lot of it.)

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

(HERE I couldn't get the YT embedding to work, not sure how to. :P)

What do you think? Any other thoughts? Because it has Chris Pratt and Danny McBride, some have rumored it will be more comedic. Any thoughts on that? Should they have KARR as the main villain? Or wait and do that in a sequel if they make one?
