Yes, it was that bad. Really, it wasn't even a live action Turtles film-- it was just another animated film. A reboot wouldn't be unprecedented immediately after Platinum Dunes ruined a Paramount IP. PD's Friday the 13th was so poorly received by fans and critics that Paramount is moving forward with another reboot (allegedly found footage this time). But raking Platinum Dunes over the coals aside; what would you do to reboot TMNT in a few years?
1. My biggest issue with the new film, and I don't think I'm alone, is the lack of actors in suits. The human element is missing.
2. No human lips.
3. Foot Clan which are ninjas or robots (thanks to Krang) that are at least dressed as ninjas and wield ninja weapons.
4. 1980s or 1970s.
5. Rocksteady and Bebop or Baxter Stockman. There need to be mutant villains.
