Anyone who has seen David Cronenberg's masterpiece knows that Jeremy Irons can do an excellent job of playing a pair of twins. I think a good plot point would be for Alfred's evil twin to show up, knock the real Alfred up and tie him up in a closet. Then he would pretend to be the real Alfred and sabotage Batman's plans. Jeremy Irons would be excellent as the real Alfred and Alfred's evil twin. What do you think?
