BTAS Joker's faithfulness to comics!

Ever since recently being introduced to Batman, I’ve watched a few of the Batman films such as Batman (1989) and The Dark Knight, and I’ve also watched a series that I’ve grown quite the liking for.

Batman: the Animated Series has really got me into Batman, and I’ve begun reading old comics starting with the old Golden Age Batman. Anyway, out of the three Jokers I’ve seen, Mark Hamill’s portrayal has been my absolute favorite (Ledger is not far behind). Something about that voice of his just seems to display the character’s insanity and goofiness to me.

While researching all I can about the Joker, I’ve come across the plenty of people that claim that his Joker is the most faithful adaption/portrayal of the character. So, with that said, I’d love to see if people can show some of the things that the comic-book Joker and the animated Joker have in common. Anything is fine, even small things. I just want to see how many connections people make.

Did anyone see the "Flash" season trailer tonight...possible Arrow spoiler

During the extended season trailer at the end of Flash. They showed that Arrow, Atom and Firestorm appear later this season.

In that scene Oliver wasn't wearing his normal costume....it looked like he was wearing Ras Al Ghul's outfit. Did anyone else notice it.

That rest of the season trailer was great...

The trailer at the end of the episode tonight was awesome....flash...GA...Atom and Firestorm.

On a side note. It looked like Green Arrow was wearing Ras al Ghul's outfit.

Stella Glow follows Alto and his quest to band the Witches of Regnant Kingdom to battle Hilda, the Witch of Destruction. Take a look at the main characters in the Nintendo 3DS game and check out some screenshots here. The key to turning the tides of battle is using the lost art of Song magic which can power up the allied witches on your side.

While Atlus USA has brought over Sega games in the past like Shiren the Wanderer for Wii and Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon for Game Boy Advance, Stella Glow is the first Sega Japan published game since Sega Sammy Holdings acquired Atlus and Index Digital Media. it will be interesting to see if Atlus USA will be able to pick up some of Sega’s other titles like Phantasy Star Nova .

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Is Killer Croc

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje to Play Killer Croc in WB’s ‘Suicide Squad’

Quote:

After playing dual roles in “Thor: The Dark World,” Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is switching sides and moving from Marvel to DC, as he’s set to play Killer Croc in WB’s “Suicide Squad,” TheWrap has learned.

David Ayer is directing “Suicide Squad,” which is set to star Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Jared Leto as The Joker, as TheWrap first reported.

Jesse Eisenberg is also expected to reprise his upcoming role as Lex Luthor, while Scott Eastwood is set to appear in a small role that is rumored to be Wonder Woman’s love interest.

Killer Croc’s real name is Waylon Jones, and the character is among Batman’s rogue’s gallery of supervillains. He has a reptilian appearance and made his first appearance in Batman #357 in March 1983.

“Suicide Squad” reunites Akinnuoye-Agbaje with Smith, as the duo will soon be seen in Ridley Scott’s football drama “Concussion,” in which the “Lost” and “Oz” alum plays NFL veteran Dave Duerson.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje is well known to fans of comic book movies, having played both Algrim the Strong and the villainous Kurse in Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World.” He recently appeared in Sony’s “Annie” remake and will soon be seen on HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and in the Bryan Cranston drama “Trumbo.”

What tone should the movie aim for?

What would you do if you were the opposite sex?

Here's a question for everyone, both male and female alike.

What would you do if you were the opposite sex to what you are now?

What kind of person would you be? Would you be much different to how you are now in terms of personality or behavior? What about the way you would dress or groom yourself?

For example, if you are currently a woman who likes lots of clothes etc, would you be a tough male with muscles who wears whatever or more of a metrosexual and fashionable guy?

Or if you are currently a man, would you be more of a tomboy if you were a woman or more of a girly girl?

Would you even have the same interests as you do now or completely different ones?

Brianna Hildebrand is Negasonic Teenage Warhead

Ellie is a pretty cool character created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly. You might remember her from Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men as a Hellfire Club Member.

Her code name comes from the 1995 Monster Magnet song which will probably get a lot more popular now. She has a pretty sweet power set with Precognition and Telepathy.

More often than not, we always get stories set before the original trilogy. We got Episodes 1-3, The Force Unleashed games, both Clone Wars TV shows, and now Star Wars Rebels. I've always been curious why the time frame between Episodes between 4-6, is often left blank, aside from comics and novels, and some video games.

Lobo co-creator Roger Slifer passes away

http://robot6.comicbookresources.com...r-passes-away/

Lobo co-creator Roger Slifer, who was seriously injured in a 2012 hit and run, died this morning while on the way from his nursing home to an emergency room. He was 60 years old.

“It is especially sad because in the last month he was making great progress,” his sister Connie Carlton wrote on Facebook. “He was writing words on his new whiteboard that I bought with money his friend Larry Spears sent for Christmas. He was nodding yes and no to questions. A couple weeks ago they put a passey muir device (speaking valve) in his trach and he said ‘yes, no, and hi.’ They were getting ready to start him on speech therapy and occupational therapy. Things were finally looking up for him. But God needed another angel.”

The hit and run Santa Monica, California, left Slifer in critical condition with broken bones and a traumatic brain injury; he was comatose for nearly a month. No arrest has been made in the accident.

A member of the CPL Gang alongside such future creators as Roger Stern, Bob Layton, John Byrne, Tony Isabella and Steven Grant, Slifer began working for Marvel in the mid-1970s as a writer and assistant editor before moving in 1981 to DC Comics as its first sales manager for the direct market. He also wrote Omega Men, for which he created the alien mercenary Lobo with Keith Giffen.

He later moved into animation, working for Sunbow Entertainment as a producer, story editor and writer on such series as Jem and the Holograms, Transformers and G.I. Joe Extreme. Slifer was reportedly working on a new project at the time of the 2012 accident.

His funeral will be held in Morristown, Indiana.

ABC Family's 'Shadowhunters' series based on 'The Mortal Instruments'

Shadowhunters - Officially Ordered to Series

Posted by Christopher DeBono at Monday, March 30, 2015

ABC Family has picked up its first scripted saga-to-series, "Shadowhunters," from The Mortal Instruments franchise, announced today by Tom Ascheim, President, ABC Family and Karey Burke, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development, ABC Family. The series will go into production this May in Toronto.

Based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, "Shadowhunters" follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters - human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend, Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.

"'Shadowhunters' is a big epic saga that will resonate with viewers who come to ABC Family for the 'Harry Potter,' 'Hunger Games,' and 'Twilight' franchises," said Ascheim. "A New York Times bestseller for 122-consecutive weeks, with over 35 million copies in print worldwide, 'Shadowhunters' is the perfect story to share with our audience."

Burke continued, "Clary is a strong, dynamic and captivating character that our audience will immediately identify with. They will want her to succeed and will root for her on her journey to become who she was always meant to be. The series has a passionate fan base and an expansive universe that can sustain multiple seasons to come."

"I'm excited to see ABC Family bring the world of the Shadowhunters to life. As a huge fan of long-form television drama, I can't wait to see the story unfold and for the fans to have more time with the world and the characters," added book author, Cassandra Clare.

"Shadowhunters" is produced by Constantin Film, and Ed Decter serves as executive producer and showrunner.

Cast to be announced at a later date.

"Yes we can," interjected West. "I tell them what to do."

Ward continued, telling the audience that they can "look forward to a new animated Batman full-length 90-minute feature coming out on the 50th anniversary -- one of possibly two, but for sure one that Adam and I are going to be doing the voices for."

TIDAL for All...New Music Streaming Service

Well I guess not new. It's a relaunch where Jay Z plays a big part

Quote:

Jay Z enlists millionaire musicians to promote relaunch of Tidal music service

By James Vincent

When you're trying to get some attention for a new product, it helps to have friends in high places. Jay Z apparently knows this, and has recruited an all-star team of musicians-turned-PR-flacks to promote the relaunch of his recently-purchased music streaming service Tidal.

Madonna, Kanye West, Deadmau5, and Beyoncé are among the well-known names tweeting promotional messages for Tidal, with the artists all using the same #TIDALforALL hashtag and changing their profile pictures to display the streaming service's signature color: a striking shade of cyan. The words "turn the tide," "music history," and "together," also feature in most of the promotional tweets.

Although users can currently sign up to Tidal for either $9.99 or $19.99 a month, the official relaunch of the Spotify-competitor is scheduled for 5pm EST today, with Jay Z set to announce details of the service at a press conference in New York. Tidal's homepage currently features a countdown clock for the event, but it's not clear what new features — if any — will be unveiled.

The service was originally built by Scandinavian company Aspiro and when it launched in the US last year, its main selling point was the ability to stream high-quality, 16-bit FLAC audio files. It currently offers some 25 million tracks and 75,000 music videos, as well as fledgling editorial section for curated playlists and interviews with artists. Unlike Spotify, Tidal doesn't have a free tier, with its standard-quality subscription available for the same price ($9.99) as Spotify Premium. Tidal is currently available in 31 countries on desktop and mobile, and is planning to launch in another six.

However, today's marketing blitz shows that Jay Z isn't planning on Tidal to succeed based on it its feature list alone — he's also counting on the support of the right people to help outmaneuver rival services. In February, the Blueprint rapper reportedly organized a one-day convention in Los Angeles, inviting some of the music world's biggest names to discuss how Tidal could benefit them. One report compared it to the formation of United Artists — a Hollywood film studio created by stars such as Charlie Chaplin with the aim of better representing artists' interests.

The flurry of tweets this morning suggests that Jay Z has certainly convinced his fellow musicians. Last week, it was also announced that Taylor Swift would be making her back catalogue of albums available on Tidal but not Spotify as a protest against the latter's free tier. This sounds promising for Jay Z, but so far, his streaming service has only around 17,000 paid subscribers compared to Spotify's 15 million. For the moment, Tidal is only a ripple.

I already use/pay for Google Play Music which I love (backs up to 20,000 songs for free and still can stream a bunch of music)

But this is interesting to me:

1) Does this mean Jay Z will take his music off other streaming services? Big Jay Z fan, own a lot of his stuff but I would hate to lose his music on Google Play

2) The Twitter discussion/backlash is really funny http://ift.tt/19oVOma

I dont think this will over take Spotify unless most of the artists take their music off it. SPotify is free, so is Pandora and watching music videos on Youtube. Free is always going to be paid subscription in this case if youre getting basically the same thing. I mean I hear TIDAL will have better quality music but Im sure the average consumer wont be able to tell the difference.

Rank the "Procedural" shows currently playing from best to worst

Now I don't know if there is a thread for this or not but right now there are a handful of these types of shows playing with some of them being more recent and others being longer running.

Anyway here are the ones in questions that I want to know your rankings for:

1. Law and Order:SVU

2. CSI

3. NCIS

4. Criminal Minds

5. The Good Wife

6.Chicago P.D

I want to know what you think because I was listening to an interview with Chris Noth(Mike Logan of L&O and Peter Florrick in The Good Wife) where he was talking about how he feels that most of these procedural shows are feeling the same. Now I don't entirely feel that way and I'm sure several don't feel that way so I wonder how you guys rank the shows and why(like what sets these shows apart for you guys etc).

Which of these inferior 90's sequels was the best?

These sequels and inferior and in some people's eyes disappointing 90's sequels to 80's classics that still hold up today. While all are inferior to their predecessors, I still find all 3 enjoyable as parts of their respective franchises, but I just wonder which one people on here think is the best? So vote away people and let's see who wins.

How do Superheroes Act after Killing Someone?

Superheroes kill, even the ones who don't want to and work very very hard not to kill, they kill people, intentionally or not, evil or not, even in the best runs superheroes do kill, and it's not exclusive to super villains.

So to put it out of the way now: Batman is stupid for keeping the line "I will go down to his level if I kill, he will win, and I will never go back from there", Batman is an idiot, and he should have let Jason Todd kill the Joker, I mean Batman did let a helicopter Joker was bleeding to death in after he killed Jason and was about to blow up the UN assembly, and he didn't lose a wink of sleep after that.

In Batman v Punisher 2 Bruce Batman (Az-Bat was the Batman in the first story) should have let Punisher shoot Joker, a maniac who just kills and kills and destroys without remorse, heck, he wanted Leslie to do the responsible thing in No Man's Land and not give Zsasz any blood.

Anyway, moving on to other superheroes and how they react to killing, I'll start with my favorite:

Spider-Man killed a few folks every now and then, the thought does not haunt him and make him overly obsessed with it like it did someone like Superman (for good reasons, someone as infamously neurotic as him doesn't need to whine and sulk more often), Spider-Man let buildings and vehicles blow up with some villains in them (Amazing Spider-Man Annual #05 for example, against Red Skull and one of his minions), it did not make him lose any sleep or go to creepy dreams over it.

Glad this guy teams-up with Punisher more than he attempts to stops him (he tried on rare rare occasions), Spider-Man killed his girlfriend while he was trying to save her.

The thought of people dying because of him still haunts him at times, and he works on avoiding making such errors as he did before (like with Gwen).

The Fantastic Four killed Dr. Doom at least twice during the Lee/Kirby run, I don't know if anyone of them went psychotic after that.

Post Crisis on Infinite Earths (a.k.a; New Earth) Superman went to a pocket dimension, he killed General Zod and his gang there to save countless worlds after Zod gang killed everyone in the pocket dimension. It made him go into a psychotic episode and add a third identity to his persona during blackouts, and that drove him to self exile into space.

Barry Allen killed Eobard Thawne by snapping his neck in a sprint to rescue the live of his (Barry's) bride to be; Fiona Webb, killing Thawne drove Barry to save more people in more areas in an attempt to overcome and repent for his guilt over killing for the first time in his life, and it could have led to Barry returning to his normal life if not for the D.A. deciding to try his hand at fame (that fat bastard) for putting a superhero on trial.

Eobard's time travel mechanics made his story ridiculously complicated, and led to Flashpoint 2.0, the outcome of Barry running to stop a super villain from killing his mom. For the sake of an event and editorial mandates, Geoff Johns had to write a stupid event to make a mess of things, to lead to Barry burning himself twice in attempts to restore his powers to make things right by allowing the super villain to keep his act intact.

Hal Jordan killed a bunch of his fellow Green Lantern corps members on his way to kill the Guardians of the Universe, because the Guardians were awful bastards who did not like Hal using the ring to relive his past by making images using his ring, they decided to strip Hal of the right after using the ring for personal pleasure. That led to him turning to the Specter.

.................................................. .

How do other superheroes react to killing villains?

Is it weird that the one who is supposed to represent the everyday man is phased possibly less than other heroes after killing?

What is YOUR Origin Story?

So, I'm currently a student at Penn State New Kensington, and I'm a reporter for the Nittany Pride Newspaper. My first article with the paper should likely be published next week, and was a profile piece on my good friend and teammate Chris Dempsey, who will be fighting for the second time in the UFC Octagon on April 18th.

Now, I'm onto my second story: A general interest piece, previewing Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Part of that piece requires me to interview people, and ask them about their expectations of the film, their thoughts about the cast, what they've liked and disliked about the previous films and the other MCU properties, and what they're looking forward to in regards to the future of the MCU.

My closing interview question for this piece (and in all honesty, I'm just asking this particular question out of curiosity) is a fun, hypothetical, "What is your Origin Story?"

~What are your powers?

~How did you get them?

~Who is your mentor?

I'm posing that very same question to you all right now, and to get you all started, I'll tell you mine. I'll tell you the story of "The Cosmic Nightfury."

I'm a young MMA fighter, slowly coming up the ranks, but gaining recognition very quickly within the Pittsburgh region. But, I'm also an artist, and fan of cartoons and comics. Abstract designs, layouts of outer space, and drawings of dragons (my favorite being Toothless, from "How To Train Your Dragon").

To stand out from the crowd, I use creative body art to draw audiences in, in my own effort to become a dragon, like the ones I admire. Large black dragon wings tattooed on my back. A 3D-style dragon scale neck, shoulder, and chest plate of armor completely tattooed on the right side of my chest and a little on my left side, leaving space open for a tattoo of a human heart, but in the form of a star, with a green flame surrounding it (a little shoutout to Alan Scott and the "Starheart," from DC's Earth 2). To add to the dynamic, rainbow nail polish on my left hand and right foot, and black nail polish on my right hand and left foot (symbolizing that those are the knock out weapons of my arsenal).

The week before my very first title fight, I'm going for a walk around my hometown, just to clear my head, when I suddenly get knocked out by a spray of terrigen mists... I wake up wearing an actual dragon scale chest piece of armor, with a slot where green fire is literally burning, I have actual dragon wings sprouting from my back, and my nails have turned into claws.

After freaking out for a while, I figure out that I can shapeshift back and forth between normal and creature, and I manage to keep things under control until the night of the title fight.

I win the belt, and I'm celebrating on the mic. All of a sudden, I get so excited that my heart tattoo starts glowing, and as I let out a scream into the microphone, a gigantic green flame shoots out of my mouth that melts the microphone... I run out of the room as fast as I can.

So, thanks to the magic of camera phones, my mishap ends up on the internet, and S.H.I.E.L.D. sees the video. Who do they send to get me to sign up for the Registration Act?... Black Widow (which I take as a compliment, because she's an Avenger, and the best agent there is).

Somewhere along the way, she becomes my mentor, and we develop sort of a family dynamic (whether or not she becomes like a big sister, or like a mother to me, I have no idea yet), and she and S.H.I.E.L.D. help me gain control of my powers, eventually discovering through future tattoos that anything I get tattooed on my body becomes a tool/weapon/part of my anatomy. When the time comes for me to pick a codename, I choose "Cosmic Nightfury," as a tribute to my favorite dragon, and the means of how I got my powers (terrigen mists from artifacts that come from outer space).

Yes, it's a work in progress idea, but I feel it could actually become a real comic story one day. So, if you stayed to read all of that, it's your turn.

The NuHumans thread

As many already know, in the last few years Marvel introduced a new subset of Inhumans called Nuhumans, who were seemingly humans with dormant Inhuman ancestry that led to them gaining powers after being exposed to the Terrigen Mist.

Many people claimed Marvel did this with the movies in mind, and now given that the concept has been introduced into the MCU canon by Agents of SHIELD (with Skye herself turning out to be one of these Nuhumans), it's looking increasingly likely that it will appear in the movie in some capacity.

So which if any of the Nuhumans do you think we will see? And who would you cast as them?

Nowadays everything is trying to be a shared universe mega-franchise to get some sweet Avengers level money. With the prophesied return of Twin Peaks on the horizon, national treasure Kyle MacLachlan is having a nerd renaissance in his career. Koby proposed the following MacLachlan mind-frell in the comments section of The Mary Sue's recap of the episode "One of Us" (you remember, the one where it countered The Flash's weather manipulation and time travel with ... some lady with X-Acto blades screwed into her fingers?):

New SpyDaddy theory. His life between losing his wife and Daisy, and when he appears on the show:

First, he went on a complete bender. He took every drug he could get his hand on. He got so wasted, that he hallucinated that he was in space. He thought he was Paul Atreides, on the planet Arrakis, fighting for spice.

Once he cleaned himself up, he wanted to focus on bettering the world. He decided to use his skills to solve crimes. His first case involves a severed ear found in a field. He moves on to investigate the death of Laura Palmer. But at the end of that investigation, he seemed...darker. Almost soulless. He no longer wanted to do good for other people.

This immediate clash of personality immediately sent him back to drugs, where he could hallucinate his greatest fantasies. He imagined himself in his favorite show as a child, the Flintstones, but in a place of power, as Fred's boss. He also imagined himself humiliating a stripper, but using his power to make her famous. Having continuously imagining himself in power, he was now ready to search for it in the real world.

He thought that to move forward, he had to erase his past. So first, he needed to find a woman to be with. He moved to New York, where he met Charlotte York. He got married to her, but constantly remembering his old life, he was unable to maintain a sexual relationship, until they divorced. Moving on, he moved to a town called Fairview, where he met a woman named Bree Van de Kamp. But getting further into a relationship, and getting married again, his psychosis started to show through more. When she left him, he faked paralysis of his legs, stalked her, and threatening her, before leaving town.

He moved back to New York, where he married a woman he never really loved, named Zoey Pierson. The marriage didn't last, but he tried to stay away from his more psychotic behaviors. He buried himself in his love of the sea and sailing. He started to make it big on the art market, with help of his art consultant, Lily Aldrin. After moving to Rome, Lily soon had a daughter, who she named Daisy. Hearing that name again sent him into a tail spin. He then finally decided it was time to find his daughter.

Which brings us to where he entered Agents of SHIELD.

...he was also the mayor of Portland.

Wait a minute ... wait a minute. You know, this is, excuse me, a damn fine fan theory!

A Joker movie- should they do it?

I'm all for it. There are so many stories they could base it on. Ideally, it'd be a nice blend of The Killing Joke, Mad Love, and Azzarello's Joker.

Batman could have a small supporting role, he's got to be involved in some capacity.

PlayStation versions are ports, but with new theme song.

5pb. confirmed the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita versions of Chaos;Child during a TwitCasting presentation this morning.

The PlayStation versions will ship in Japan on June 25, with a demo going live this Tuesday, March 31. A limited edition including a drama CD and papercraft “Present Box” is also planned. The game will be a straight port, but will have a new theme song.

5pb.’s Chiyomaru Shikura also cleared up yesterday’s leak, saying that the promotional jackets for the PlayStation versions weren’t supposed to have arrived to retailers yet.

In addition to the Chaos;Child ports, 5pb. also confirmed that like Steins;Gate before it, a Chaos;Child anime is also in production.

Marvel and Five Four Team Up For New Clothing Subscription Service

Quote:

Not content with having a multimedia empire spanning comic books, TV, and movies, Marvel now has its eyes set on a new feather in its cap of conquest: MENSWEAR!

Marvel has joined forces with clothier Five Four in its latest scheme to shake you upside-down until all your money falls out of your pants pockets. Except this time your money will be exchanged for new fancy pants so you'll look more presentable next time they come around. $60 per month gets you a subscription to monthly boxes filled with outfits inspired by Marvel's superheroes (sort of like Loot Crate). The official launch is set for April 1, but I have been assured that this does not mean it's an elaborate April Fool's prank.

"Our designers really dug through the Marvel archives to find new ways to recreate the heritage and evolution behind the brand and its Super Heroes," says Andres Izquieta, co-founder and CEO of Five Four. "We're so excited for the opportunity to work with Marvel; the collections showcase some of our best designs to date."

In addition to the capsule, Five Four and Marvel will be launching an exclusive exhibition pop-up in New York City to celebrate and showcase the brand new collection. Located at Openhouse Gallery in the Lower East Side, the pop-up will be open from March 26, 2015 – March 29, 2015 and will host a series of events for Five Four Club members.

All Five Four and Marvel collections will be made available exclusively to new Five Four Club members and will focus on extending the iconic character-based entertainment brand into contemporary fashion. Monthly memberships retail for $60 and come with full outfits based on members' style preferences.

Did Black Cat made any guys here fascinated with white haired chicks?

For me yes, 30 years ago at age 4 when i started reading comics i read Spider-Man and saw an issue with Black Cat as she became my first comic character crush with Wonder Woman, Abigale Arcane, Catwoman and some others.

I just loved her figure and her beautiful white hair as she with Lady Amalthea from The Last Unicorn, Taarna from Heavy Metal, Judy Jetson etc. made me fascinated with chicks with white hair and i'm not talking grannies.

DEADSHOT "Off The Table" According To ARROW Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim

After the events that took place in the ending of this past Wednesday's Arrow, many fans speculated that the character of Floyd Lawton/Deadshot (Michael Rowe) would likely be coming back next season with a significant role due to the episode setting up the orginization H.I.V.E.. Now it seems that won't be the case as Arrow executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, was asked on his official tumblr whether there was a chance that Floyd Lawton/Deadshot would be a regular next season to which he responded with: "Unfortunately, Deadshot is off the table for the nonce". It now seems that the reason the events with Deadshot took place in this past Wednesday's episode are indeed what many fans speculated: Warner Bros. told the CW to pull the plug on Arrow's Deadshot as they have plans for him in David Ayer's Suicide Squad film.

This franchise is a license to print money for Paramount, so I can't fault them for bringing in the ultimate company man to protect one of their most valued assets. If they're smart, they'll cram the writer's room with a bunch of young, fanfic-happy screenwriters, pay them in toys and cackle all the way to a $1 billion worldwide gross. This is what the TRANSFORMERS franchise deserves. Bon appétit, mother****ers.

I can't get over just how slick this thing is, and how exciting it is to see this familiar iconography interpreted this way. There were manga versions of "Star Wars" produced for all three of the original trilogy films, and I love seing something we know so well pass through a completely different filter.

This is that sort of thing, but done in a way that is almost impossible to believe. Animation isn't cheap or easy, and doing something this finished and this technically accomplished by yourself is a tremendous accomplishment. I would not be shocked to see Paul Johnson at the helm of some major animated project in the next couple of years.

What if they brought back mail aways?

Remember back......waaayyy back. Mainly for Star Wars figures. You used to be able to send off 5 proof of purchases to Kenner and they would mail you an exclusive figure. .....hasbro has done this with star wars as recently as a few years ago even.

So I'm thinking. ...mainly about Marvel Legends. Buy what if they got rid of the Build a figure pieces in their figures and instead offered mail aways.

I guess they would print up some online code or something like that inside the figure that you could enter online. And put up on hasbro.com 4 or 5 exclusive figures that you can choose from. Not specifically one for each wave. But if you buy every figure released you would have enough codes to get every figure. But if you didn't want one of the exclusives then you could pick and choose from your regular waves to just get the mail away guys you want.

Just a random night shift thought.

Will they do it again?

I have been thinking about the crap directors that keep getting to make movies e.g. Bretr ratner, Michael bay, MCG.

These guys have made atleast one decent film in the past and maybe it was only good because of timing but these guys just keep on making trash that isnt well recieved and I wonder why we keep giving them a chance...are they destined to only make trash from now on?

Final Episodes prediction for Season 3

1) How do you think the rest of the season will play out and end, including the final episode.

2) How do you want it to end?

For me:

1) There are so many subplots, I'll try to cover the main ones. I think Diggle possible loses his baby somehow due to Ra's. I think Oliver realizes he can't win this war, takes up being the new Ra's in order to shut the league down from the inside and in turn something happens to the baby. This could lead to Diggle and Oliver on shaky ground heading into next season. Oliver ends the LoA from the inside to become Green Arrow. They introduce hints for the next villain at the season's end, possibly that villian even giving Oliver the name Green Arrow.

Not sure what to make of the entire Sara and Laurel situation with the news of the spin-off. Maybe time got altered and Sara is alive, and she stays the Canary towards the end of the season, but since Oliver defeated them by becoming Ra's temporarily, she feels lost and gives that pastime up. I think detective Lance will survive and his heart issues is a red herring for now. He is a good plot device for seasons come come.

2) I hope they get rid of The Atom. Give him his own show, put him on the flash, but just get him out of Arrow. A super suit on a vigilante show will just outshine the main character. Not to sound like a hater, but I also don't like Laurel. I enjoy watching her ass get kicked though, but it's obvious she will get training from Nyssa. I would be okay with Nyssa training Laurel, and making Laurel from some sort of Birds of Prey group and only showing up occasionally giving her less airtime.

As far as the next season main big bad, I hope they focus more time on him. Season 2 was great, we got a lot of Slade Wilson it seemed like. Will be interesting to see what they do with Shado now that we have seen her in flashbacks.

Nocturnal Animals with Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal?

http://ift.tt/1M0Vags

Quote:

Sources tell Variety that Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal are in discussions to star in fashion designer Tom Ford’s thriller “Nocturnal Animals,” his second film as a director after 2009’s “A Single Man.”

Ford will write and direct and also produce along with George Clooney and Grant Heslov through their Smokehouse Pictures banner.

Based on the novel by Austin Wright titled “Tony and Susan,” the plot is described as a “story inside a story,” with the first part following a woman named Susan who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, a man whom she left 20 years earlier, asking for her opinion.

The second element follows the actual manuscript, called “Nocturnal Animals,” which revolves around a man whose family vacation turns violent and deadly. It also continues to follow the story of Susan, who finds herself recalling her first marriage and confronting some dark truths about herself.

Sources say actors were immediately drawn to the project when the script hit the market, and Adams was the first to sign on, as she was interested in the part of Susan, with Gyllenhaal pushing hard for the male lead.

Adams has received five Oscar nominations, most recently for best actress in “American Hustle.” Gyllenhaal has a history of strong dramatic roles with a dark edge.

Adams is about to start production on “Story of Your Life” opposite Jeremy Renner and can be seen next reprising the role of Lois Lane in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” She is repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment.

Gyllenhaal is coming off his critically acclaimed role in “Nightcrawler” and has a strong 2015 ahead with the boxing pic “Southpaw,” the Working Title pic “Everest” and “Demolition” all bowing in 2015. He is repped by WME.
