Where exactly does Sony rank among the biggest mishandling/mismanagment...

of a major superhero film franchise w/ Spider-Man (at least since 2007, when Sam Raimi's third movie was released)? I'm going off the top of my head, the others that immediately come to my mind is the Salkind family and later, the Cannon Group's handling of the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, Warner Bros. handling of the Batman franchise during the Joel Schumacher era, and 20th Century Fox's handling of their Marvel properties (i.e. Daredevil/Elektra, Fantastic Four, and just about any X-Men movie not directed by Bryan Singer or Matthew Vaughn, although I think that The Wolverine was pretty well received also).
