Do You Think The "Friend Zone" Exists?

I always thought the answer was an obvious yes, but I was reading an article like a week ago, I forget where either Elite Daily, Buzzfeed, or something, and it was basically saying that the Friend Zone was just something that dudes say when they act nice to a girl and expect sex, but they are turned down. And in reading the comments, a lot of women agreed with what the article was saying.

I didnt think much of it until I saw Daniel Radcliffe on Buzzfeed and he said:

Quote:

“Friendzoning is a terrible thing. The idea of a friend zone is like a terrible, male…have you ever heard a girl say she’s in the friend zone? It’s a thing I think men need to be really careful about using. When they were kicking around titles for What If, before What If was chosen, I think that came up, and I was like, ‘No! Don’t do that!’ Do I think men and women can be friends? Yes, absolutely. Do I think men and women who are sexually attracted to each other can just be friends? Eh, it will probably become an issue at some point whether you deal with it, and talk about it and just move on, but it will always sort of get dealt with eventually…I definitely think the idea of friend zone is just men going, ‘This woman won’t have sex with me.’”

(OT: he looks sickly in this picture lol)

Again a lot of women in the comments were agreeing

And that just raised the question in the thread title in my mind? Do other people think the friend zone doesn't exist?

I think there are levels to it and yes there are times when guys are nice to girls and expect sex out of it. I've never had the misfortune of truly being friend-zoned because I dont have any girls that i would call true friends. Most of my girl friends are either friends of friends that are always around or my friends gf.
