DCEU Audience....who is it? And who should it be?

I believe a great deal of the issues with these films is in the intended audience. I think one of the reasons the animated films and shows are so well done is because DC knows and understands exactly who they are making those shows for. But I don't think they have the same confidence who their target audience is for the films. So, in your opinion....

Who are they making these films for?

General movie going people?
Hard core comic book fans?
Families? Kids?
Summer blockbuster crowd?
All of the above?

Personally, I have a feeling DC is choosing the last one. Thoughts?

Since we have one of these polls for The Joker due to there being a new Joker actor this year, I figured we could have one for Lex Luthor given there was also a new actor for Luthor this year.

I would go with Michael Rosenbaum's Luthor from Smallville.

Temple Hill’s recent releases include Paper Towns, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Martyrs. The company also produced the highly-anticipated Power Rangers movie for Lionsgate, set to hit theaters in 2017.

Long Term Influences Of Films To Comic Book Characters

I was noticing that there seems to be a lot of influence with WW in fan art and comics that evoke or outright recreate the Gadot costume. Only time will tell but I think it's possible that the BVS suit could stand the test for the long haul and become integrated into the character's other appearances in TV, games, animation and comics. This happens a lot. Something is developed for a comic book super hero character outside of the comics themselves and suddenly that aspect gets almost baked into the character for the foreseeable future. I think that going forward no matter when he retires from the role that RDJ's influence on the character of Iron Man is going to be huge and whether in future shows, toons or in the comics that Tony Stark will be written in some way to evoke the RDJ performance. Much like how Superman didn't properly "fly' until the Fleisher toons or get exposed to Kryptonite first on the character's radio program and those things simply got absorbed into the mythos.

So... What sort of things from the current age of superheroes, across media, do you think will be integrated into these long standing characters for a long time to come, especially in terms of character or aesthetics? Will a future TV version of WW still rock something close to Gadot's suit? Will your children identify Iron Man with rapier wit? Discuss...

#GIVEMARGOTKIDDERASCENE! Margot Kidder is not a fan of Amy Adams’ Lois Lane in Batman

We’ve heard from a lot of people with their thoughts on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but British website HeyUGuys got the chance to speak with the original Lois Lane Margot Kidder (who played the character in Superman: The Motion Picture) – and she is not a fan of Amy Adams’ role in the movie.

“They took one of the best American actresses around, Amy Adams, and didn’t give her anything to do!” Kidder said. “I mean, how stupid is that? They made her what used to be – the girlfriend – which kind of ended in the ’60s with women’s rights.”

In Adams’ defense, most of her scenes are in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – The Ultimate Edition.

The CW DC Universe has seen many stars from previous DC films appear in their shows, but would Kidder like to be added to the list?

“Yeah, sure. Depending on the script or what they wanted me to do,” Kidder said. “I am 67, I am an old broad now! So I look back at this with much more amusement than I did. I don’t have a career I need to worry about protecting. My life has nothing to do with movies anymore. I live in a little town in Montana and basically do political activism. So I guess it would be fun to fly-in and do a couple of days work.”
