Most decades had a distinct sound in music. Has it stopped changing since 2000's?

Elvis of the 1950's. Beatles in the 1960's. Many bands of the 1970's, had a pretty distinct sound for that era. The same could be said of different genres in the 1980's and 1990's. The music fit within those decades. I don't feel much of a change through 2000-2015. Anyone else feel this way? :shr:
