The X-Men: Apocalypse FACTS Thread

Inspired by JP's thread from the DOFP days, I decided to bring it back for Apocalypse for all the confused kittens out there. Here is a thread that lists all the CONFIRMED info we've gotten from the studio, Singer, Kinberg, and credible sources about the next X-Men film.

1) Bryan Singer is directing the film.

2) The film is written by Simon Kinberg (Days of Future Past, 2015's Fantastic Four), Michael Dougherty (X2, Superman Returns), Dan Harris (X2, Superman Returns), and Bryan Singer.

3) X-Men, X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Wolverine are no longer a part of the main canon.

4) The film will be set in 1983 (10 years after the events of the past segment of Days of Future Past) and "will complete a trilogy that began with

X-Men: First Class"
according to Kinberg.

5) Apocalypse (also known as En Sabah Nur or "the first one") will be the main antagonist and will portrayed by Oscar Isaac. Kinberg describes Apocalypse as "the darkest villain of the series"

6) The confirmed cast for the film is as follows:

James McAvoy - Charles Xavier

Michael Fassbender - Magneto

Jennifer Lawrence - Mystique

Nicholas Hoult - Beast

Oscar Isaac - Apocalypse

Rose Byrne - Moira Mactaggert (Added 1/30/15)

Evan Peters - Quicksilver

Tye Sheridan - Cyclops

Sophie Turner - Jean Grey

Alexandra Shipp - Storm

7) The movie will be the completion of the first arcs of Charles , Eric , Raven , and Hank , who will be the main characters.

8) According to Singer, “It will also address historical mutant-cy, meaning the deep past, mutant origins and things like that. It’s something that’s always intrigued me when we think about our Gods and our history and miracles and powers.”

9) According to Kinberg, this will contain more mass destruction than any of the previous X-Films: "We've spent the most time talking about is creating a character that's the most powerful mutant villain that we've seen in the X-Men movies so far - more powerful than Magneto or the Phoenix! The kind of scope and scale we're talking about is like a disaster movie featuring an extinction-level event. We're talking Michael Bay/Roland Emmerich-style moviemaking, which you've never seen in an X-Men movie, or any superhero movie."

10) Rose Byrne will return as Moira Mactaggert. (Added 1/30/15)

11) Principal photography is scheduled to commence in April 2015 at Mel's Studio in Montreal, Canada. Same studio used for Days of Future Past.

12) The film will be released May 27, 2016

Let me know if I've forgotten anything (or made errors) below, and I'll make sure to add it. :xmen:
