Magic and Superheroes: Why the Drama?

After ramming my head into the wall in this thread, I've decided to start a thread based around my question to prevent any sort of miscommunication based on all the flashing lights and shiny things going on.





Why does the inclusion of magic in a superhero universe always seem to be cause for debate?



I would seriously like to know.
