Known in popular culture as the Brides of Dracula, the three characters, originally introduced in Bram Stoker’s classic novel, are portrayed as beautiful and powerful female vampire “sisters” who reside with Count Dracula in his castle in Transylvania where they use their charm to seduce and bewitch men before preying on them. They manage to entrance Van Helsing too before he shakes off their spell and kills them. The characters are a staple in the Dracula mythology and have appeared in most Dracula screen adaptations, headlining the 1960 British movie The Brides of Dracula. Brides expands the relationship between Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Chief Creative Officer of Archie Comics, and Berlanti. The two teamed last season for Riverdale, a live-action drama based on the characters from the Archie comics. The project, originally set up at Fox, recently relocated to the CW where it is in active development. WME-repped Aguirre-Sacasa previously worked for Marvel Comics, did stints on HBO’s Big Love and Looking and Fox’s Glee, and wrote the feature remakes of Carrie and The Town That Dreaded Sundown as well as the Broadway-bound stage musical adaptation of American Psycho. WME-repped Berlanti is the most prolific broadcast producer with six series on the air this coming season, freshmen Supergirl on CBS, Blindspot on NBC and Legends Of Tomorrow on the CW, and returning Arrow, The Flash and The Mysteries Of Laura. |
Slade after being cured of the Mirakuru drug....
One of the main reasons Slade went after Oliver was because his mind was messed up from the Mirakuru drug. Hence the Shado hallucinations. Once he was given the cure. Shouldn't his intense hatred for Oliver been severely curved? At least to the point he would keep going after him. Hoping someone can answer this for me.

So this is essentially a reminiscing thread. One thing I've found fascinating with films in pop culture, especially the hugely popular ones, is looking at how they were received when they first opened, as opposed to how they were received years later as they became cinema classics, or cinema infamy.
For example, I don't remember a time when Star Wars wasn't STAR WARS. By the time I was old enough to watch it, it was already a pop culture giant. I don't remember a time when I didn't know Darth was Luke's dad, the films were already legend. So I would be fascinated to see people's opinions who were old enough to watch the thing in theaters, and hear about what it felt like to watch it for the first time.
And that goes for any film really, I thought it would be fun to just reminisce about what it felt like to watch some of the classic films for the first time.

1) Batman/Joker/Dent in the tunnel, ending with Batman barely deciding to not kill Joker (TDK);
