Characters In The DC Cinematic Universe

This thread is about what other characters, you could see or want to be added to the DC Cinematic Universe in the future.

It should be characters, that will fit in the post Man Of Steel/modern world set up in the film.

Mostly, this is about adding characters to expand the cinematic universe.

It's essentially world building and adding people to the universe WB/DC are attempting to set up.

Confirmed Characters for the DCCU:

Heroes: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg.

Supporting Characters: Lois Lane, Martha Kent, Perry White, Alfred Pennyworth, Amanda Waller, General Swanwick and Jonathan Kent.

The Third Tier Characters : Steve Lombard and Jenny Jurwich.

The Villains: General Zod, Faora-Ul, the Kryptonians, Lex Luthor, The Joker, Deadshot, Enchantress, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and Rick Flagg.

Using these categories would be cool to see on the thread.:woo:

Best 2015 Super Bowl Commercials/Trailers?

What do you think the best commercials and trailers that aired during the Super Bowl are?

Hollow Man- (2000) Show Some Love

A guilty pleasure of a film.

This film is an absolute cheese classic. One of the last sexy genre films of the 90s. I don't care if did come out in the 00's, it absolutely belongs in the 90s.

Kevin Bacon has not been this good on film since.

Elisabeth Shue. :hrt:

Also, my first introduction to Rhona Mitra.

GL Reboot

Okay, most can agree the first GL sucked. Ryan would've been okay to play Kyle Rayner perhaps, but Hal Jordan? No way. Hal is more serious & mature.

His suit was overdone. No need for all the Liberace lights. His lantern was over designed also. A less pretentious treatment would work just fine.

Hector hammond was dumb.

The yellow Parallax monster was STUUUPID and UNNECESSARY in the comic series and the movie. Geoff Johns should be slapped silly for trying to "exonerate" Hal for what he did to the GLC and why he did it. That was a terrific storyline, shot to hell by a poor editorial decision.

I know it's ALL ABOUT THE ORIGIN STORIES with these first runs, so I'll just have to wait to see the EMERALD TWIGHLIGHT/ NIGHT story lines hopefully one fine day.

Meanwhile, I'd like to see MORE GL Corps interaction, including Soranik Natu, Iolande, Arisia, Brik, Boddika, Stel, Peneloian, Kilowog.

I think the nemesis of choice is MONGUL.

Enough RoboVillian designs already!

A quick aside regarding the Spiderman films:

Could Marvel stop reinventing “real life” designs for his nemeses, please?

Electro- TRAGIC costume design & “origin”. P.S.- he doesn’t fly or levitate.

The Rhino- just plain stupid. Guns? Could be a cool enemy though with an organic approach to his look. Think updated ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU aesthetic.

The Lizard- debatable. If the Hulk can manage to stay in his britches, the Lizard can certainly retain his tattered lab coat, etc.. A less human-looking face…

Green Goblin- debatable. How about instead of RoboGoblin, we go for scary/ creepy Goblin in a SPAWN-like suit…

These are COMIC BOOK movies. We’re talking A GUY BITTEN BY A RADIOACTIVE SPIDER GETS SUPERPOWERS…

You think we can continue with the “suspension of disbelief” long enough to de-techify the bad guys and allow them to retain some semblance of their comic book aesthetic?

Not every villain has to be exo-skeletonized or enveloped in black leather.

If “credibility” is what you strive for, there are scientists who work in genetic mutation, hybridization and bioweaponry…

To be fair, Doc Ock, Venom and Sandman* were well done.

Let’s see a retro Vulture and/or Mysterio in upcoming Amazing …

Let’s also put some LIGHTING on the fight scene sets! In Spiderman 2, you could SEE the battle between Spidey & Doc Ock when he took Aunt May hostage, unlike most of the rest of the franchise’s fight scenes at night, in sewers, etc.. Even in those scenarios, there are ways, with competent set lighting, to ILLUMINATE CLEARLY what the hell is going on.

Amazing Spiderman’s school fight scene was another good example of allowing the audience to actually see what’s going on.

Iron Fist!

It's time to see Daniel Rand hit the Big Screen. A balls-to-the-wall Kung Fu ass-kicking fest where his iron fist(s) is/are capable of punching through brick walls and people’s chests! Jason Statham, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen & Neo all rolled into one. His self-healing ability via chi should also be showcased.

Villain(s): Madame Masque (and The Hand), Madame Hydra/Viper (and Hydra), or even revisit Batroc, but make him look more like Batroc. Typhoid Mary might be fun also. There’re also The Immortal Weapons. They’d be cool. Get Ziyi Zhang and Maggie Cheung (Hero, 2002) for The Daughter and The Bride. “Rain” from Ninja Assassin would be good as one of The Immortal Weapons, too. If Hydra is used, Dreadnaught would be a great addition to pound on.

Asian schoolgirls (a fan favorite) as minion bodyguards; one wielding a chain whip, one with kamas, and one with a 3-section staff would be great fun also, but Danny would have to put them down in no uncertain terms, without need of the Iron Fist.

NO BLACK LEATHER (except Typhoid)! Use muted colors, but KEEP THE GREEN AND YELLOW! And the mask, as close as possible. It would be great to see his

original ‘80s full suit as well as his more minimal look found on the cover of

The Immortal Iron Fist #1.

The translucent skeletal look of the Iron Fists on the cover of Iron Fist: The

Living Weapon #1 would certainly be an idea to play with.

Yaya DaCosta as Misty Knight.

It would also be very cool to see Luke Cage/ Power man make a cameo!

Whereas I prefer the original ‘70s outfit, I could live with the current

Avengers-esque, bald Cage in the yellow t-shirt but he has to have

the metal bracelets and be built like Ulisses, Jr. or Simeon Panda.
