Incredibles 2

Incredibles 2:

Incredibles 1 was about the father, Bob Parr, who was a superhero and misses his glory days so much he almost missed being a father and husband. It was also about superheroes who were forced into retirement, and hiding your specialness to be average like everyone else.

In the end Bob and his Family save the world from Syndrome and bring the Superheroes back into the public eye, ending the forced retirement of all remaining heroes once and for all.

The sequel would be about that, the old superheroes returning to action while a brand new batch is finally allowed to join. The new generation are comprised of the sons and daughters of old heroes and villains. But the old heroes and the new don't mesh well. Their methods differ. The older generation don't understand the new threats and how dangerous they are and the new generation is too harsh and violent. There are also those trying to create powers suddenly, illegally. New heroes and villains keep popping up. Meanwhile the heart of the story is about Bob Parr and his family again. Its been years since they defeated syndrome and became a family of heroes. But now his kids are older and don't want to hang around as much as they used to. Dash AKA The Dash is in high school and Violet AKA Missapear is in college and even Jack Jack, going by Jack now, AKA Incredi-Boy is busy. Plus they have to be superheroes also, leaving little to no time for their family. Bob feels his family slipping away. Dash and Violet and Jack also belong to the new generation of superheroes while Bob and Helen, AKA Mr. Incredible and Elasti-Girl. Frozone even has a son or daughter (or twins) of his own who would belong to the new generation as well. (Frozone's wife and children are brought in as characters too.) Another problem that arises is when Violet starts dating the son of one of Bob's old foes. (The film could also deal with the fact that things are less black and white as time goes on, more gray.) The former bad guy, or the son, could even be called The Gray! So this idea I feel, while it draws heavily on Alex Ross and Mark Waid's Kingdom Come, would continue the world of the Incredibles nicely and continue the idea of the regular/average mixed with the fantastic.

I still am working on it, I still need a main problem that they must over come, which could involve the Gray or could even still draw from the Kingdom Come comic and bring the new generation against the old generation.

The main conflict could even be a Captain America styled hero who becomes the main villain while trying to shut all the new heroes down or something. So the old generation of a Classic Captain America type becomes the new generation Dr. Doom villain type. (He could have cameras everywhere and be turning the city into a police state thing.)

Just some random Fan Art I found on google to help further illustrate my movie idea.

Foggy Nelson Casting and Discussion Thread

There is a surprising lack of Foggy talk in these forums so let us fix that!

What do you want from the character in this show and who do you want playing him?

Sean Astin was a really popular choice, and I'd totally cast my vote for him if he were still 30 and a bit chubbier.

Check It Out W/John C Reilly

Has anyone watched this. I watched it Thursday. It is morbidly funny. I dig the old access cable feel, & John C Reilly is pretty darn funny.

The SHH Best Movies of All Time Tournament

A couple of months late but I finally put everything together.

Rules:

First to 8 votes wins.
I may change this number if traffic picks up or slows down.

The time limit is 24 hours.
I will call off matches that are blowouts, though (7-1 for example)

To vote, simply post the name and/or a pic/gif of the movie you are voting for.

There will be 256 movies in total (this will probably take about 4 or 5 months ) . I tried to get a good balance of classic and modern movies. I also won't be showing you guys the match ups beforehand to make each upcoming match a surprise.

The tournament will start on Monday.

With Great Sequel Comes Great Lounging - Part 7

This is a continuation thread, the old thread is Here

HBO Go App

Hey, does anyone here have the HBO Go app? Just downloaded it, and it is painfully slow, stopping to load all the time. It's like Dial Up internet...but possibly worse. Is it always this bad?

And no, its not my internet, which works great. I never have problems watching anything on my computer, including with HBO Go. This Xbox app seems terrible though...it works better on a Kindle Fire.

Its not a huge deal, I can watch on my comp, just wanted to use the bigger TV. Oh well.

Batman Hates Doctors?

Last night the youngest of my brothers was watching videos of Batman Arkham Origins game, and he saw [blackout]Quincy Sharp talking about the two breakouts in one night, and why he should reopen Arkham Asylum.[/blackout] Another video my bro sat through was of [blackout]Harley Quinn talking to one of the Falcone's[/blackout], and the discussion of all the doctors Batman fought with ensued, any kind of doctor, the most prominent ones are psychiatrists

Doctors in Batman's rogues gallery:

  • Psychiatrists, and psychology specialists:

    • Dr. Harleen Quinzell/Harleyquinn: Loved Joker and went with him

    • Dr. Hugo Strange: Another psychiatrist, his obsession with Batman drove him beyond the brink, and turned him evil

    • Dr. Jeremiah Arkham: Became the second Black mask in recent years

    • Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow: Obsession with fear

  • Medical:

    • Dr. Thomas Elliot: Bruce Wayne's childhood pretender friend, arch rival

    • Dr. Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze: Ever since Batman:TAS turned him into the sympahtetic villain, later complete psycho

  • Notable Scientists:

    • Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley/Poison Ivy: Carries a Doctorate

    • Dr. Preston Payne/Clayface: He's the one with the deadly touch of clay, even after the gathering of Clay story he remained a villain, though he found a loving lady understanding him

    • Dr. Kirk Langstrom: Mostly a good guy, and an occasional ally of Batman, but evil in animation

Any other psycho doctor? Or a scientist?
