Characters and Stories that were intended to be different...

What Stories or characters can you think of, that were confirmed to be altered before they were finished?

The original Carrion was supposed to be an undead Norman Osborn but was changed just as the final two issues of the storyline came out.

Gaunt was supposed to be the true villain as depicted until the reveal of a random mastermind. He was supposed to be Harry Osborn.

Ben Reilly was the one true Peter Parker.

HobGoblin was originally going to be Richard Fisk.

My Grandma Calls It...

We all have them... Relatives, usually older ones, who can't seem to grasp the proper names to things in the pop culture sphere and so give them their own names. So please share with us what your peeps is calling stuff, whether from the present or the past.

My own grandmother had these gems:

The Smirks = The Smurfs

Casey And Lacey = Cagney And Lacey

Pee Pee Herman = Pee Wee Herman (I guess Gram was a psychic on that one>)

Unhinged imagination in modern cinema

I'll make it short and sweet... and simple:

Is it just me, or is there a lack of filmmakers in this generation who've got their own, unique 'brand' of unhinged imagination like Tim Burton, Guillermo Del Toro, Terry Gilliam, Michel Gondry and others have?

It appears to me that there's a certain lack of pure imagination in today's cinema.

Superman Returns vs. Spider-Man 3

These were two highly-anticipated films that were considered to be disappointments upon release. Of these two movies, which do you consider to be better and why?

Cartoon soundtracks on CD

Hi everyone. Not posted here in a while, but I figured everyone would be interested in some cartoon soundtracks that have been released recently. They've suddenly become a 'thing' that soundtrack labels are interested in releasing. Amazing to think it's taken until the 2010s for them to realise that there are actually people that would buy this stuff!

Ulysses 31 2-CD set (137 minutes)
http://ift.tt/2kbgJiL

Inspector Gadget 30th anniversary set (55 minutes)
http://ift.tt/2kbcwvl

He-Man 2-CD set (130 mins, this was actually from 2015 and I've mentioned it here before)
http://ift.tt/2jQzZpH

Transformers: The Movie (78 mins)
http://ift.tt/1eF4QKI

Jonny Quest 2-CD set (152mins, I know this is the 1960s version but it's still worth a mention)
http://ift.tt/2dwco6E

Have I missed any? Please tell me because I'd probably buy it!

Also, 80s Transformers composer Rob Walsh and Sony are putting together the tv music for an album later this year. Word is that it's going to be on blu-ray only. I hope that's wrong, because I don't have a blu-ray player... CD please :)

And a CD of all the music from Duck Tales: Treasure of The Lost Lamp is being released by Intrada Records on Tuesday!

Preacher: Season Two

Since filming has started I thought we could do with a new thread for season 2.

Dominic Cooper posted this set photo the other day

Which storylines do you guys think will be used?

The Last Jedi Box Office Prediction Thread

I think this film is certain to outdo R1, but the question is will this outdo TFA? I think it will land somewhere in between.
